Wow that is quite a view. Im a Private Pilot and i have gone abouve the clouds many of times but nothing beats walking up a mountain and also beening above the clouds. the only time iv been above the clouds while walking was when i went and climbed scafell.
What time of the year was this? The clouds are pretty. I been up pen y fan 3 times each time in the summer and the clouds are always just above me and not below
absolutely love the beacons, was lucky enough to be born in brecon and raised in trecastle, used to walk the summits of pen-y-fan, corn ddu and y crybyn basically every month until i came to uni in cardiff. so strange living in a city after being in the countryside for 18years. i miss it.

You have to admit, the countryside of Wales is a beautiful place, spent half of my life walking the mountains of Carmathen, West Wales do have the best countryside going.
