First of all here's a question: Why did Muslims in the 15th century never helped Spain when it was battered on all sides by Europeans? Second of all fall of Muslim Spain happened in 1492, and you guys started to look at Spain in 20th century! It is 450 years too late to cry over loss of Muslim Spain. Yeah, the Muslims messed up. It was mainly due to infighting between local rulers instead of remaining an iron fist together. When the Arab Muslims were united they seemed poised to take all of Europe. But they disintegrated into bickering fools in Spain and didn't finish the momentum.

Although it seems that Islamic Spain will return in some fashion, seeing that Islam is the fastest growing religion in Spain, with 4% of the population Muslim.

They created a Kingdom, the Kingdom of Asturias, since they won the fight against the moors soldiers in Covadonga. Then they started "LA RECONQUISTA", the re-conquer, and they won the long war in 1942 (same year when C. Colón arrived to America) and expulsed the Moors to the sahara, because our people conquered also many cities in the north Africa.
