actualy the Venator class is the first version of the imperial star destroyer, its like the V-wing that is the early tie fighter if you watch the end of episode 3 the venators had lost coller and the v-wings have the sound of a tie fighter.

howerver this ship is designed as a carrier

and the was a 2nd variant of the acclamater which added two extra engines and also had the sensor node at bottom and hanger

The ISD is exactly 1600 Metres

The VSD is Exactly 900 Metres

The VeSD is Also 900 Metres

Both the Victory and Imperial Star Destroyer's have a Wedge shaped hull and the Venator clearly has a completely different design.

The Venator is the evolution from the Acclamator Class to the Victory Class.

Venator's were replaced by the more powerful VSD, the end.

Ultranerd here: It's official designation is the Venator-class Star Destroyer, however some sources (e.g. Some, not all) like to call it the Republic Attack Cruiser. However, it was a Star Destroyer. There were many types of Star Destroyers other than the normal Imperial I/II class you see in the original trilogy. Hell, even the New Republic (what the Rebellion became once it defeated the Empire) produced ships labeled 'Star Destroyers'.

No it's not actually, the Acclamators are a different class. The Venators are primarily based off the successes of the Acclamator class, but they're different classes.

well the acclamator were still used in the clone wars..

the venators are attack cruisers because they carry more guns and firepower and more shield protection and enough to carry a battalion of clones and 300+ vehicles while the acclamators are troop carries although they carry a slight less amount of guns .36 guns while the venator has over 72 variants of cannons and guns the acclamator carries 120+ gunships and enough to carry 36,000 troops more then 1 battalion but they are built both my kdy

Not that I'm aware of. There was a transport variant (the original), and a 'missile cruiser' variant with added large proton torpedo tubes. There might be a third but if there is, I haven't heard of it.
