All the riffs are. The drums are uninspired too but don't resemble the style of earlier black metal bands much, they have some thrash influences. The vocals resemble Dimmu Borgir at 1:08, bass is not really present.

I'm pretty sure you're not familiar with the actually creative black metal bands: Emperor, Ulver, Dissection, Bathory, Enslaved, and there are creative bands with important black metal influences like Arcturus, Agalloch and Ihsahn.

@OpethToolMetallica I don't even get a hint of Black Metal from these guys, and no I'm not familiar with Black Metal what-so-ever, but I know what Black Metal sounds like and it sounds nothing like this. I think most of it is stupid, but I really dig some of the atmospheric stuff. Actually, if you could give me any recommendations I would appreciate that. I recommend you look up Dragged Into Sunlight. That's some cool Black Metallesque type stuff.

It has some thrash to it but it is definitely more black metal than anything else. Especially if you compare it to thrash in its pure 80's form the difference is pretty damn big.
