  • Requests for Part 10 Cinderella 1995 VHS,The Parent Trap,Pochaontas,Oliver & Company 2001 VHS of The Rescuers Down Under

  • Are you Going To Keep Your Three VHS Tapes Of Bambi (1989)?

  • Yes.

  • Beta=sweet.

  • do you think i could find the boatniks vhs off of ebay with the brochure still with it?

  • You never know. I got my copy at a store that was selling used videos and DVDs.

  • Do you have The Little Mermaid, Snow White, CInderella and Aladdin?

  • Yes.

  • Here's a bit of trivia The Boatniks was the first movie that had Walt Disney Pictures presents I saw this on a DVD I previously viewed a copy and it had the heading

  • Do You ever give doubles away? Ones that are exactly the same?

  • Does the WDC logo on your "The Sword in the Stone" tape freeze for an extra 10 seconds or does it fade right out at the usual time?

  • It doesn't freeze. The only tapes I have that freeze the logo are "Pinocchio" and "Alice in Wonderland".

  • What's the print date for your SITS tape?

  • The print date is 10/4/86.

  • Gabrielkat has seen a copy that's sold in the same cover as yours and with the same previews as yours, but the WDC logo freezes for an extra 10 secs. (just like your "Pinocchio" and "Alice in Wonderland") tapes.

  • The 1986 version of Sword in the Stone used to be at my local Family Video.

  • I was fortunate to find the French version of "Cinderella" exit in Quebec in 1988 (France na never exit the VHS to 88) because it is only on VHS that these could be the French version of 1950, after 90 years they change the votes of certain feature Disney (Yark) :-)

  • You've inspired me to collect Disney tapes I have some good ones

  • cool collection! How do you find the print date on your tapes?

  • They are usually on the bottom of the tape (Not the other side of the tape), or on top of the tape, usually if it's on top, it's a small sticker.

  • 3:27-3:52 shows 3 copies of the 1989 VHS of my favorite Disney film, Bambi! As my second favorite Disney movie is Fantasia!

  • What's the print date for your 1994 VHS of "Robin Hood"? And does it really have the lilac blue "Now on Videocassette" screen after the Masterpiece Collection logo?

  • Also, the cover for "The Journey of Natty Gann" looks like it's awfully faded.

  • It was faded when I got it.

  • I see.

Again, does your 1994 VHS of "Robin Hood" have the lilac blue "Now on Videocassette" screen? And what is the print date?

Also, I just got "The Walt Disney Comedy and Magic Revue" today; the print date is 10/4/85. On my copy, the label has no darkening on it, unlike yours.

  • His copy does have it because MickeyJman06 mentioned his copy of "Pete's Dragon" has the same brochure with his copy, just like this user's copy of that movie you just mentioned. Ontop of all that, he uploaded the previews, which has that logo you mentioned, which means yes, this user's copy of that movie does have that logo.

  • I was asking Imaxination80, not you.

  • But, it's true. I left you a comment about it on your channel telling you about it. He even told me it had it.

  • Yes, my 1994 copy of "Robin Hood" has the lilac blue "Now on Videocassette" screen.

  • I thought so.

Also, are the rounded corners of the cover art big or small?

  • What do you mean?

  • I'm talking about the rounded corners of the cover art. Are they big (as on 1994-1995 copies of the first 9 Masterpiece titles) or small (post-1996 copies)?

  • It's probably big since my copy was printed in 1995.

  • I'll have the FBI track you down!

  • You are so fucking immature, systemoperator.

  • No, I was talking about him, I was talking about a spammer.

  • But, you don't know where in Maine.

  • You don't know where I live.

  • I told you once, I told you a thousand times I'm not going to do it!

  • ENOUGH WITH THE POOP, I'M NEVER GOING TO EAT IT! Also, I didn't ask for you opinion!

  • You STFU! BTW, I wasn't asking for your opinion!

  • That version of "Davy Crockett: King of the Wild Frontier" must definitely be a bootleg version because not only was it sold in a slip board cover case, but it also uses the 1985 tape label.

  • It's not. A bootleg VHS has a tab on the bottom over the small square (I forget what it's called), my copy of Davy Crockett doesn't. It's basically the previous issue (1985) accidentally put into the 1986 case. There's also a WDHV sticker on it too.

  • Really?

  • Yes. Also, there's a ripped up print date sticker on the bottom, too.

  • Never mind, I figured it out.

  • About that video I showed you, the copywrite date says 1986 in roman numeral. So, would've it came out on March 24 when "The Sword in the Stone" came out, May 28 when "Alice in Wonderland" came out, June 25 when "The Journey of Natty Gann" came out, or October 14 when "Sleeping Beauty" came out?

  • I just got a VHS at Goodwill today, 1999 VHS of "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad".

  • Can you upload the previews on youtube cause I can't find them on zippyvideos

  • Yeah, I'll do that.

  • How's Part 5 going ?

  • What's the print date for your 1984 VHS copy of "Robin Hood"?

  • BTW, did you get that video I sent you?

  • Oh, that makes sence.

  • Yes, the film came out in February 1950 and was completed in late 1949.

  • There's something else confusing on there. It says that "Oliver & Company" was coming out Christmas 1988, but that's not true, it came out November 1989.

  • I mean, November 1988.

  • Well they were probably referring to the Christmas/Holiday season.

  • Oh, so there's still one version of the 1988 VHS.

  • Hey Mac I'd say they screwed up on the Davy Crockett King of the Frontier? Do you ?

  • How's the video going imax ? I'm dying to see Part 5

  • I'm trying to do the best I can on my own. Without MusicMan2295 (The camera man on the 4 videos), it's tough to use the camera and go through the videos. But I'm trying hard, but I've got other things I plan to put on Youtube, like my record collection.

  • I bet Tron and Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo came from Ebay

  • Yes, they did. Along with the 14 other Beta tapes in that set.

  • Yeah but The Love Bug,Darby O'Gill and The Little People and some others were probably formal rentals

  • Those all came from eBay too, the seller probably had them from a rental store.

  • What is the print date for Winnie the Pooh and Friends ? My was printed 9/24/84

  • Have Part 5 ready before School lets out

  • I got some new tapes from Goodwill Winnie the Pooh and Friends,Peter Pan and The Brave Little Toaster 1994 VHS

  • Also, it says "Oliver & Company" came to theaters in Christmas, but actually came to theaters on November 18, 1988.

  • I'm guessing you have a reprint that actually told what season Oliver and Company came to theaters

  • YOU DON'T KNOW THAT, YOU'RE GUESSING! You always do!

  • When I bought my 1988 VHS of "Cinderella", for some odd reason it was mislabled as MCMXLIX, instead of MCML.

  • Going with robin hood at 4:17 i have that same brochure with my print of "Pete's Dragon"

  • If that's true, then these must be the previews on your copy of "Pete's Dragon":

    1. 1991 green FBI screens

    2. 1994 WDMC logo

    3. lilac "Now on Videocassette" logo

    4. 1994 WDMC promo

    5. "The Brave Little Toaster" trailer

    6. 1994 WDFCC promo

    7. 1991 lilac FP logo

    8. 1993 green format logo

    9. 1966 BV logo

  • I figured out which version of "Bambi" came first. The version that said "Coming to Theatres Fall 1989" is a regular copy from September 28, 1989 and the one that says "Coming to Theatres This Holiday Season" was a later printing from October 31, 1989. Now, the only reason why they did this is because they were unsure when they were going to release "The Little Mermaid", but then they decided to release it around that time, so people would know when it would come out.

  • Have Part 5 ready before February

  • I'll see what I can do. I filmed over 60 minutes of the entire collection with my narration/details, and I am currently filming the rest of it (Films from the 1990s up until now) on another 60-minute tape. I'll have to split these all into 10-minute videos, so there will parts 5, 6, 7, 8 and so forth.

  • Well hjust upload Part5 for us and then finish it

  • What is the difference between your Bambi 1989 prints.

  • What is the difference between your Bambi 1989 prints.

  • I wonder why they were too lazy to make silkscreening labels in the 1980's

  • That Darn Cat is a Haley Mills movie

  • If Cinderella rereleased in 1991 would the VHS heading read Walt Disney's Classic or Walt Disney's

  • My Aunt Barbara her labels aren't peeling but yours where probably overwatched

  • They weren't mine when I got them. The "Cindrella" tape was owned by my cousins since it came out, same with the "Alice in Wonderland" 1988 VHS.

  • Hey imax did you know that Bambi was the first Classics video to feature the regular version of the Classics logo ?

  • I knew this for 2 years, I wonder why they changed the logo.

  • They had to change the logo I mean who wanted to see the Cinderella Classics logo on every pre 1992 release

  • At 01:48 it sounds like my dogs the noise

  • I only have on video that the case makes hois when you open it the December vrsion of Fantasia

  • Is Bette Davis Bette Midler?

  • No, Bette Davis is someone else.

  • Comment removed

  • They're two different people. Bette Midler is younger than Bette Davis.

  • Yes I know that now

  • What are the print dates for your three copies of "Bambi"? And how are the conditions different for each copy?

  • All of my classics releases from 1984-1989 the labels are coming off What do I do imax

  • My suggestion is to either: Don't play the tapes or put little pieces of double-stick Scotch tape under where the labels are peeling.

  • Ihad to glue a label on to a piece of tape and stuck it back on the tape which was Cinderella

  • My "Cinderella" copy has the label peeling, in fact every tape from 1988 that I have has peeling labels. I guess they didn't have good labels back then.

  • I would hust make new labels with blank tape labels

  • My Cinderella video won't play too much dust inside the tape but I'm not trashing it it was the only video o use the Sorcerer Mickey Classics logo pretty version next to 1992 logo

  • Hey imax if Bambi rereleased in 1991 what would the heading probably read Walt Disney's Claasic or Walt Disney's and do you think the black diamond logo would read Disney's Classic or the other heading

  • I am not sure on that one.

  • I think they would reuse the 1989 cover and the 1991 VHS would say ''WALT DISNEY'S'' with ''DISNEY'S CLASSICS'' in the black diamond logo

  • I do not know whether or not this is true, but suppose if it were, a variation of "Bambi" where at the end of "The Little Mermaid" trailer is says "Coming to Theatres Fall 1989" and another variation where it says "Coming to Theatres This Holiday Season", which version do you suppose would come first?

  • Comment removed

  • I was not asking you!

  • Comment removed

  • Whatever. Hey, Imax! What do you think about the question above?

  • Probably the "Coming Soon" bumper since that's mostly before previews.

  • Oh, no! I was not talking about the beginning of the trailer, I was talking about the end of trailer. There are two different endings to the trailer, one that said "Coming to Theatres Fall 1989" and another version that said "Coming to Theatres This Holiday Season", which would they made first.

  • I'm not sure about this. "Coming to Theatres this Holiday Season" seems reasonable because it's giving out when it gets released. I am not too sure.

  • Perhaps "Coming to Theatres Fall 1989" probally came first and "Coming to Theatres This Holiday Season" came second.

  • I have an early printing from July, and this and all the other tapes say "Holidy Season" and not "Fall 1989". Where did you hear this from?

  • Henrytvwhiz.

  • Do you have the 1991 print of Alice in Wonderland

  • No, I don't have the 1991 print of "Alice in Wonderland".

  • Well you can buty it off ebay because I find a pritn with the video right next to it and it has the ink labels

  • I want the 1991 print of Sword in the Stone

  • You can probably get that version easilly since it's more common than the earlier editions.

The "Alice in Wonderland" 1991 tape is a tricky find, especially with the cover that has the "Walt Disney Classics" heading.

  • Especially if you look at the diamond logo which it says "Disney's Classics"

  • Yeah, on the cassette front. "Dumbo" and "The Sword in the Stone" from 1991 also sport this.

  • on the VHS

  • The 1992 reprint has that heading because the 1991 print has the 1988 cover

  • My sister has that VHS and it says WALT DISNEY'S on both the cover and the tape

  • What does it say on the cover for 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

  • The yellow circle? It mentions that the film won an Oscar for special effects in 1954. The white box shows the big names in it like James Mason and others.

  • No the part where the VHS is supposed to be

  • Oh, it says "HI-FI Stereo" or something. I have to get the cover.

  • It says "VHS-Stereo".

  • I think Cinderella came out 1989 cause both my cover and tape read MCMXLIX The Walt Disney Company

  • That is not 1989, it is 1949.

  • No its 1989 because MCMXC means 1990

  • Nope, it says MCMXLIX, which means 1949.

  • Does Robin Hood have the WDMC w/ WDC music or its music

  • It has the WDMC jingle playing over the Masterpiece Collection logo.

  • OK thanks

  • Oh because I'll call early prints BETA version

  • Early prints can be on VHS too. That "The Boatniks" tape is an extremely early printing on VHS.

  • You never say X-mas cause you take Jesus Christ out of the holiday

  • Do you have a VCR? If so could you please upload the cartoon classics theme it's very catchy!

  • I don't have a Beta player to play those Cartoon Classics Beta tapes on.

  • What's that booklet at 0:45.

  • That happens to be the "New for 1984" brochure that came with his copy of "The Boatniks". And don't end questions with a period; end them with a question mark.

  • I keep forgetting.

  • Can you do part 5 on my birthday November 19th

  • We'll see what happens, it'll be filmed as soon as I get all the new tapes plus the ones at the store (whatever I get).

  • My Aunt has that print it has 1984 Classics logo

  • Does the '88 print of Alice have the '84 Classics logo or the '88 prototype?

  • It has the 1984 logo.

  • Yes it has the 1988 logo cause it released after Cinderella

  • No, I has the 1984 logo, it basically the 1986 master is on the tape before getting the new master later on.

  • No 89 version has 84 logo according to the WDCAG it uses 1988 logo
