I'm a ftm or female to male, and she is mtf or male to female. We have a lot of terminology to explain it, but basically we are people who aren't happy with our original assigned gender,I don't know why. Some of us have operations, but i've heard that a lot of us actually don't. Instead most of us just live as the gender we are more comforatable with. :-)

I'll make this real simple: all babies start out proto-female until testosterone kicks in and transforms a fetus into a male. 100% of that hormones creates a normal male. But at 75%, 50%, 25%, you start seeing variations in the brain and sometimes even physical anatomy .
