I just finished my own underwater base in single player last night. This one is crazy deep and large. I would really like to know more on their process for building it so far under water. Mine is on the bottom of the ocean floor and yet this one is several times deeper in places.

@reckagex Building below the ocean floor, and then flooding it out when ready to go. On a single player server I tried building a room, then filling it with sand/shoal, but that took forever. And it was a tenth, if not smaller, than Rapture. Using the digging below technique makes it a realistic endeavor.

I'd love to know the technique for this. Clever use of sponges, admin tricks to get rid of water? I've tried building even a modest underwater shack (ala simpsons) and it was met with much failure.

@reckagex You dont get Sponges in the Normal version of the game. In the creative mode you have Sponges. I guess the only way to make a underwater place would be by building the walls then filling in the room with dirt to get rid of the water. Ive never tried. Who knows, the water might go away after you make a room underwater because theres no longer a source block.. *shrugs*
