  • This is only my opinion but I find this much better than Heifetz's interpretation. Slower, but much more feeling found within this performance. Seriously amazing performance.

  • @deadjewelry +1 ; Actually I think we need to re-listen Heifetz' version first.

I have difficulties to understand it but maybe is it also a specific recording that we have on YT ?

BTW, the sheet of music is available in the "Heifetz's collection" (I could find the exact name if somebody needs it). I have tried to play this song without looking on YT for recordings and it seemed me quite natural to play it in "Koelman's style".

  • Just found an arrangment by Auer of the same peace.Little different as Heifetz did, but very simmilar. Greate played by Koelman. . Thank you

  • wow! thats beautiful!

  • Heifetz's teacher emphasized tone, and Heifetz's opinion of him was, "He was a very great teacher." So it is interesting that many Heifetz students have that as a strength.

  • Beautiful abroad. I know this song for piano. (I had it at the Conservatory for testing). Implementation viola + piano is beautiful. Congratulations!

  • It wasn't Heifetz? Whoa.

    Seamless. Beautiful.

  • Bravissimo!

  • The tone is so eerily like Heifetz that I think this guy must be some sort of reincarnation. Beautiful interpretation of a lovely piece of music and I think it sounds better on the violin than on piano.

  • @wiccalite

    I agree! It´s incredible!
