George duke actually allowed them to use the sample and they gave him credit so.. they didnt steal the sample if you have the daft punk discovery CD it says

ha the ironic thing about a lot ignorant people claiming daft punk "stole" songs, is that those people probably downloaded their daft punk, which is why they don't know about the info in the cd sleeve.
