  • Bill Tarrents book of the Delmar Smith method talks about high tail sets....it has more to it than just plain aesthetics.

    First of all, congrats: amazing dogs, great to see them. One question though: why are your dog's tails up when they're pointing? is it something esthetic or is it to be able to see them better? thanks

  • Hello, Thanks for the post. The tails are like that because it is the current style here and so a high tail has been bred into many pointers. This is only in the field dogs and not in the show dogs. The show dogs still have the classic style point.
