A peach faced love bird and a maroon bellied conure right? :) those were two out of my 3 choices that i was picking from this week to get as a pet :) at least ik for the future that if i want to pair a two then those two get along fine, i will be getting a maroon bellied conure with a month or so. ( my 3rd choice was an Indian Ringneck :) )
small birds like this can grow a flight feather without you even knowing and boom, they're off flying because they are so light. I would never risk losing my birds like this, not to mention that there are hawks everywhere.
@kimm1888 Totally agree with you....!!! Been in the avian field, for a little over 20yrs now, having both wild and domestic experience. And i ALWAYS advise folks, that allowing "free flighted" pet parrots outdoors, is taking a HUGE gamble. The negatives far outweigh the positives, in allowing your pets to do this. And i'm not just talking about Birds of Prey, Crow's pose just as nasty a threat. And they would look at a parrot, as a "foreign species", and likely mob it quite badly.
