I saw these live back in the mid-90s though it would have been a Son of a Bitch Gig had Ted Bullett been in the UK..so Steve Dawson performed the Vocals and Graham Oliver played the hell out of the guitar! I swear to god I do not know how the small club was still standing after it. Only Saxon songs were played by the way.
@musicfreak1967 except they were from sheffield, england. They were once the loudest group in the world 40,000 watts. Im still deaf from a concert at the De Monfort Hall Leicester 1981. Rock on!!!
just thought i would share 47 year old who was at the gig this song is about Awesome weekend The song is a perfect distillaion of the experience from the build up Tommy Vance dedicated his rock show the night before to the camped hrdes outside , to the gig itself which was mega perfect song for an old rocker.
One of my fav tracks off 'Denim and Leather'. My 1st album ever, bought with my own dosh, along with Motorheads 'No Sleep til Hammersmith', from Boots in Paisley. I guess I was brought up well ;'D
I wasn't old enough to appreciate music like this at the time as I was only about 5 or 6. But I've loved it since I was about 10 and it was all thanks to my siblings! :)
ACDC, Whitesnake, sabbath, maiden, saxon, motorhead, metallica, led zeppelin, lynrd skynrd(idk if they went), stones, floyd, deep purple, hendrix, you see were this is going? ROCK isnt what it used to be =[
I think I should mention how I enjoyed the little medley of pics the author of this fillum put together. Best not forget, if it wasn't for the efforts of such enthusiasts us philistines would be a lot poorer.
I work as a delivery driver. I can only play this stuff in the first half of the day. If I have the pleasure of this on my return journey then say hello to Mad Max. After 2pm it has to be Classic FM or my 4.2tonnes will kill someone.
because on the titanic when it went down... the bands just kept playing as they knew they had to be last off the ship more or less.. before the crew and captain but still way back

Solid song structure, awesome motif, well-placed harmony. I couldn't ask for more from the NWoBHM.

No, this one is autobiographical. It describes their show on the first "Monsters Of Rock"-Festival 1980 in Donington.
