Stevo on Sky in the midweek round up programme defended Brian by showing numerous clips of Newton coming in late with his knees on Macca all through the game. It's a credit to him that he held his temper so long.
The Leeds coach (was it Bell?) even admitted after the game that it was part of their gameplan to get Macca sent off. (his only dismissal in his long career remember)
Totally provoked IMO, great entertainment, top man, top player, top coach and without a doubt a future England coach.
