dont care, awesome, i have the same truck but charcoal grey and i just got a 12" lift and 15/39.5-15 Super Swamper TSL Bias tires, but mine is also supercharged and turbo charged. if you do that, the 6.0 is worth it

HD means Heavy Duty. If it was a diesel, it'd have a duramax emblem above the 2500. I have a 1500 HD it doesnt mean it's a diesel dude. Learn your Chevy's. ;)

Hd does not mean diesel, it can be the 6.0 or 8.1 gas. In this case it's the awesome 6.0l lq4, LS1 series motor

@smmoffat Nice truck, Duramax are not all that cracked up to be, I've own a Duramax for a few years know, nothing but expensive programmers to make it run strong and fast? not worth it! know an 8.1 would be a better suggestion or a 7.4 454, know those two engines full of raw factory power, with ought the expensive gimmicks

@martinez418 the duramax is all its cracked up to be. I own one, and have driven the 8.1's and 6.0's. There is absolutely no comparison. Even without the "gimmicks", the 6.6 will outperform the 8.1 stock. And by the way, the "gimmicks" are pretty impressive. EFI Live, a fuel pump, and a built transmission will have a duramax outperforming a Z06 corvette everytime. Not to mention the duramax will get you 18-20 mpg, the 8.1's and 6.0's will be lucky to get 10-12mpg...

@smmoffat Are you serious! that's odd? I have an 06 Suburban 3/4 ton with the 8.1 My buddy has an 05 2500 3/4 ton silverado 6.6 diesel. We just mach them on a 1/4 run, both trucks all stock? My wagon took his truck? I keep hearing this from various people as well. The duramax is a nice engine, but like i said how much money do you have to invest to make it perform like a real diesel? well i could invest money as well on my 8.1 and defeat a z06 corvette also? That goes for GM, FORD, DODGE.
