The biggest thing I have learned from this video... Every time I've gone into a restaurant I have been pronouncing BRUSCHETTA incorrectly for years!!!! I'm going to Italy with a friend of mine and she uses A LOT of hand gestures while talking... I'm kinda scared now she might get misinterpreted. On the other hand, I'm terribly reserved and shy and don't use gestures while talking at all. Now; who of use will get bigger problems there? x)
Well since we're only stupid tourists I guess this won't matter too much anyway.

Foreigners dont' use those gestores in italy cause if you dont' use it with natural and fluent movement and in the correct way and meaning the first thing we will think it's just you are making fun of us. Consider that the all the gestores are very instintive and we use it naturally without thinking cause we learn it since the childhood. So i'ts not sufficient a video for learning it well how to use and move it.
Or you can easily appear as morons to our eyes. So it's better you dont' use it.

nope you can say "può", it means "you" too, but it's the more formal way, you would say it to some one older than you or your boss at work or something like that. "Posso" is "I can"

Nada its not bad, but you have a few mistakes.
I think you mean "puoi ripetere" not puo. Puo means can "I" repeat it LOL. Puoi means can "you."
Also, scemo is not crazy, pazzo or matto is.

Ciao! Grazie for your feedback!!! Actually, I'm from Florence - some of the translations are not literal but rather "equivalent" to English idioms. I know "scemo" is more like stupid, but I think we intend it more as "are you out of your mind?!". "Puo" is formal speech to ask "could you", where as "puoi" is informal "can you". nope you can say "può", it means "you" too, but it's the more formal way, you would say it to some one older than you or your boss at work or something like that. "Posso" is "I can"

"Can I repeat" is "posso ripetere?"; if you address to someone you don't know you should say "Può ripetere?", while if you are addressing to a friend or relative you say "puoi ripetere?"

"Può ripetere" is correct when you talk with someone that you don't know, it's a formal way to ask (we use the form in the 3rd person..)
"Puoi ripetere" is used with friends or collegues or ppl you are acquainted with :)
