what if a high caliber bullet is slowed enough to not make a large damage but stull goes through? wouldnt the nano porcelin particles get caught in the wound and cause a bigger problem?
Terrorist just don't use ak-47's. they use pistols too. so 9mm protection is very good, especially if its all over. plus if you get hit with a 7.62 in one of the 9mm protection pads, it will probally slow down the impact of the round considerably, since its able to stop a 9mm. which = less sever injury.
Not only that, but logic dictates that 9mm protection is also pretty good frag protection. Not too many troops in Iraq are getting shot these days, the vast majority are hit by IED's. Full-body frag protection is fantastic and WILL save lives.
THE POINT IS TO GET ALL THE BALLISTIC PROTECTION WHEN YOU CAN WHERE YOU CAN. Then the cumulative effects of all these layers add up to superior protection.
dynmicpara, I watched one of your videos on the ragtop helmets and how "were currently not issueing this to the troops" well whats that at 0:53, yeah thats what I thought
I wish it were true. That's sadly a miniscule amount of scrim (piece of cloth) inserted into the helmet cover vegetation slots. Better than nothing but not enough to break outline up.
well thats basicly the same stuff as that camoflauge the british put on there tanks, remember that video? I find it kinda funny that we agree on some things but disagree on others :)

What threat level is it capable of stopping? Looked like handgun rounds in the test, big difference between a 9mm and a 7.62mm.

thats awesome. Imagine making a armored vehicle out of plastic and filling the internals with this epoxy. Or something similar..
