There is a story, not sure if its true or not, that goes that Thomas did not know the water works were going to fall in his song. So when they did, he stuck it out like a trooper and didn't show any thing wrong, but in fact he was very mad about getting wet and made certain that Ed's prop department knew his feelings.

Written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Arranged by Burt Bacharach and sung with B.J. Thomas' great, expressive voice. With a winning team like that it's no surprise that the song has attracted the ears of many listeners and is still well loved today. They don't make great songs like this anymore.
