  • my falcon 2 is on its way in the mail. purchased it in black your videos helped me out alot.

    thankyou

  • That is an emergency blanket that I bought at Cabela's

  • What's the groundsheet your standing on there?

  • As always great review. I'm looking for a bag for edc/short day hikes and I'm currently using a Jumbo style bag. Problem is it's too small. So I'm looking very closely at the Maxpedition Mongo, Sitka, or Falcon 2. I prefer a backpack but I like having a water bottle holder on the outside and I carry a secondary firearm or BUG in the concealed Compartment. Out of these three which one would I be better of with?

  • Excellent review & you just convinced me to invest in one!

  • Just a little tip, allways keep your spray on your belt for faster/easier access, and if you put your bag down and forget its still on their Mr bear woint wait for you to get it. Also nice bag and review.

  • Thanks so much...You right when you show it loaded out it just give everyone an idea of the pack's size and possibilities..

  • great review, i liked how you showed us everything that you had in the bag, it gave a great idea of what the pack is capable of

  • Thanks and I would say more like water resistance on the pack and zipper...

  • Great review!!!, are all maxpedition or ykk zipers waterproof?

  • My maxpedition gear is coming in the mail soon! I got a falcon II, fr-1, 12x5 bottle holder, mini rollypoly, CP-L gps holder and tear away map case. I really like your videos... They helped me with my decision on what to get! Thumbs up

  • Yes it is thanks for watching...

  • Hi. Is it possible to attatch the FR-1 to the side of the Falcon II using the Tac-Ties? Thanks

  • could you please kill the crickets!

  • thanks for this review, it was a big factor in my recent purchase of a Falcon 2.

  • I would have molle'd the first aid pouch to the side, but that's just me. Give more space in the pack itself, but on the down side it increases the change of the pack getting stuck on something.

  • Grizzly907LA ...Thanks for the comment !!!!

  • @cjc5531 Your welcome. I have a water bottle holder and my first aid pouch attached via molle on the outside of my everyday carry. Ill do a presentation once I obtain a tripod.

  • Where did you get your emergency shelter / poncho?

I use a thin but durable tarp, I don't like stringing a rope in between two trees to set it up. I think A smaller poncho/shelter would be much more practical.

    Thanks

  • @NoahCarella ...Thanks for watching...I got this on line at Cabelas which no longer have these... just google the Atlanco poncho ...Good Luck !!

  • Pretty nice pack. I was thinking of getting this eventually. Im a college student, but I also like Going outdoors and what not. I think this will do fine if i was to buy it.

  • @Dtac25 ...It's really a great pack...

  • A thousand dollars worth of Maxpedition gear....lol

  • what type of GPS pouch is that and are you using a garmin 60 csx in it

  • @solidbruddah ...That is a Maxpedition CP-L Phone Radio Holder....

  • cjc5531... I know this question was asked before, in reference to the CCW holster, but, where in the pack are you able to place one? I'm thinking where the hydration bladder goes. If that's the case, won't it rub against your back? Just wondering. Excellent video by the way.

  • can u put ccw holster in this bag ?!

  • seven47katana....Yes you can....

  • can you post a link to the 2 small pouches on the lower compartment of your bag

  • purplehbarnet ....They no longer carry this map and compass pouch. You can look at maxpedition web site they might have something close to what you would like...

  • Great review as are all of your Maxpedition reviews. Could you maybe look at doing some side by side comparisons with pros and cons between some of your Maxpedition items. e.g Falcon II v's Condor II etc . Thanks

  • antonforsythe .....Thanks for watching and the suggestions and if I can work it in I will...Take care..

  • Thank you and muchly appreciated cjc5531, keep up the fantastic reviews.....

  • Thank you to you

  • Sorry that's thank you to you and your vids

  • d4jit ...Your very welcome and thanks for taking the time to watch....

  • Good vid just go my falcon ii today and I like it a lot that's thank you to and your good vids

  • Great review. Can you tell me what color your Falon II is?

  • mattamiller .....Thanks and the color is khaki....Good luck

  • G'day, great vid. Got a Falcon II on the way. Want to get a Camelbak reservior for it. I know it fits up to a 100oz, but was wondering if you knew the dimensions of the hydration sleeve. I'm think the low profile camelbak model, but just need to know the size of the sleeve

  • Barfoot73 ....The bladder I have in mine is 16" in long by 6" in width at the opening which does taper down to 5" good luck and thanks for watching...

  • nice kit really well set up

  • mrdizzle19....Thanks so much......

  • nice review

  • 1111Davo1 ...Thanks so much...

  • Wonderfull review, thanks!!!

Very informative and entertaining! BTW is seems like no one has anything bad to say about this pack.

    (pretty much)

Good job and keep on out there!!! =)

  • HallCustomSheaths ...thanks for watching and the comments

  • where did you found your tarp cause im looking for a green one like yours..

  • grosculdenoir....Cabelas....

  • Hey. I'm looking for a school backpack. I've used some "super heavy duty" camping packs and such, but within a school year they all break. Do you think this thing could withstand roughly 40 lbs of books and gear every day?

  • Hi, nice review! what color is that pack? I'm undecided on khaki or the foilage/khaki

  • chanderson1....Thanks and the color is khaki....Good luck

  • @chanderson1

Foliage Khaki is a GREAT color. I just bought a Jumbo in that combination. You can't go wrong. It looks classy, manly and handsome all at once. As it gets older I am sure it will only look better

  • eme71489 you got it ....Thanks for watching....

  • could you do a video where you put on the sabercat and the falcon i would like to see how that looks

    thanks

  • tony2timekilla I could try at some point but I have about six VID's that I want to do in front of that...I will if time permits...Thanks for the request...

  • Great review, I looking to get the Falcon II.

  • ColinOutdoors thanks so much...Its a great pack..

  • @ColinOutdoors Did you ever get one? What a coincidence, for the last few days I've been considering either the Falcon, or the Condor for a day pack. The falcon seems much roomier then the tiny room the spec claims it to be (25 liter). My current daypack is 30L and it seems smaller then the Falcon even.

  • @Varghjarta I haven't got one yet, I would like to own one soon but need to free up some cash first. I hope whichever one you choose to buy that you really like it, All the best

  • im thinking about buying one or the maxpedition mpb ( the normal one). Need a new rangebag. the mpb is perfect for that. On the other hand I could use the falcon for more options. thanks for the review

  • Great review (as always)! As far as I can tell from this video you use a Camelbak hydration system with the Thermal Control Kit. How does this extra kit perform in the summer? Is it worth the money? Thanks!

  • I am going to buy one but I really dont want to look like a commando on a trail. Nice to see the improvements over the original one I had a while back.

  • DMPYT I agree I wouldn't want that myself....It is a really good looking pack suitable for anywhere....Later

  • Excellent vid. I'm looking at the Falcon II pretty hard!

  • Does the falcon include a water reservoir when you buy the backpack, or do you need to buy it seperate?

  • pkbjorn35 no water bladder you will need to buy that....

  • Which backpack do you like more the Condor 2 or the Falcon II ?? I have the condor 2 in Foliage Green, and I'm really happy with it !

  • wt31313 I like them both...It's really hard to pick one but I lean toward the Falcon II just a bit more...

  • Which backpack do you like more the Condor 2 or the Falcon II ?? I have the condor 2 in Foliage Green, and I'm really happy with it !

  • How much weight can you reasonable carry in a comfortable fashion with a Falcon II? Including the 3k in water (the 100 oz bladder).

I wish that they made an external frame pack with about 2x the capacity of the Falcon and the same basic design elements and quality.

  • XCritonX I had about 22lbs including the water and I would not want much more weight at all. I used this all day and did fine with the pack. Thanks for watching...

  • Final decision, I'm buying a falcon. :D Thanks for the review.

  • Your very welcome....

  • You made realy cool videos ! ; D

  • Thanks so much....

  • @cjc5531 no problem !

  • Nice video. What kind of monocular do you have? I've seen you pack then in the various bags you review. What kind is it? What size and magnification is it? Thanks - and thanks so much for the video!

  • Thanks...The monocular is a Simmons model #1164 8x21 Field 7 deg. Length 3"

I really been happy with this and it has come in handy many times. Take care...

  • Hello from England, I must say that is a very good review in what looks like a beautiful setting.

Although I cannot decide which pack to order, either the Kodiak gearslinger or the falcon 2!

  • admatt ..Good to hear from England...I got both and the Falcon II is the one I like the best. Of course you'll have to make that choice...Take care and good luck.

  • Wow, this is perhaps one of the most comprehensive reviews I've seen on youtube. Excellent video! Thanks.

  • Thanks so much for the kind comment..Take care..

  • why do you need lightweight backpack? with high grade straps ? $129

looks like a perfix car bob bag to get home kit

  • If I'm going on a day hike or over night this is what works for me....I agree it would make a great BOB...I don't mind the price as long as I get what I want in a pack....I haven't been disappointed with it...Thanks for watching...

  • how can you use this bag as an overnight bag it dosent look big enough to contain a small tent or even a sleeping bag.

  • I have a Hennessy hammock that I use instead of a tent that fits on the bottom and a small sleeping bags that compresses down small enough to fit in the bag. I could easily do this, I guess it depends on how someone would pack it out...Thanks...

  • It would make for a pretty good one-two day summer pack, but definitely not for winter. As for the hennessy hammocks - how are they working out for you in the colder days? Say 0 celsius in the night?

  • The hammock did ok in the low 40's F but I haven't went any lower....I'm not much for the winter camping...Take care...

  • Ok I like this pack but Im curious. I am a big guy. 6' 3" 315 lbs. Ok I wear size 42 - 44 pants and large chest. Will this pack fit me.

  • I think it would be tight and I think the Vulture II would be a better fit....Hope that helps...

  • If you could buy just one pack, would you buy the maxpedition condor or the falcon backpack? Thanks again for the awesome gear review.

  • Great review, is that a Khaki or Foliage color?

    5/5

  • Rez...This is the Khaki...Thanks for watching.....

  • Great videoreview - thanx from Russia!)

  • Bertold....Thanks so much and good to hear from Russia...

    Take care...

  • Good review. I use this bag as my backpack for school and it is a great bag and has lots of room, my only problem is that it is not wide enough for me.

  • Thanks....It's really been a great pack for me..Take care...

  • hey CJ wherre have u bought the Survival Blanket in ODgreen ?

  • Howdy CJ, another great video and review. I use my Falcon II as a work bag and it works well. I really like how you organize your gear and have used several of your ideas. Keep up the good vids. Thanks, Doug

  • Firecode thanks so much...It worked out to be a great bag for me....Thanks for watching....

  • This Bag just Got Through the Costum here so I'm Thrilled to se if it's in the Mail by tomorw

  • Hey Pete you'll really like it....Take care...

  • i really hope so I'm going to juse it as a Work/College bag so i'll also get the Pocket Organiser and some tactiles of couse and the Fight Medical Pouch so

  • How far out can the hip and shoulder straps adjust. I am a larger guy and sometimes have problems getting packs on and strapped up.

  • The hip will adjust out to about 52" and the lower shoulder strap will adjust out 16" forming a 12" diameter loop in the shoulder strap. Hope this helps...If your still unsure you could call maxpedition...Take care

  • another great review

  • Budda thanks so much....

  • CJ, another great review. I agree that it would make a great scout/couple day pack. Thanks fo putting this together for us.

  • Hey thanks so much and your very welcome...This pack and the Condor II are my favorite packs. Take care

  • that is a nice setup you got. I wish maxpedition made a pack just like this one but bigger. great review as usual.

  • Thanks it is a great pack I put over twenty miles on that pack last week. Who knows maybe sometime they may make a larger version of this pack...Thanks for watching..

  • Yes, I don't see any reason why you couldn't. Are you just wearing the web belt for accessories?

  • The web belt would hold a large utility/buttpack and 2 canteen pouches.

It would, what some people would consider to be, part of a Bug Out System. The belt would be held up using suspenders.

  • I've been looking at this bag alot. Could you wear it with a web belt system?
