swami's probably held the swell the best of all the socal bigwave points but its a tough call. I've been out when it's big and its got a hawaiian feel in the water ala sunset beach. crowd is ridiculous and dangerous but somehow everything tends to work out...

Yeah i know, there are some good surfers on it for sure, but some guys pull out earlier before it bowls up on the inside, they could have stayed on it and gotten at least a small shack or big one on the inside for sure. When are we gonna get waves like this again? San Diego has sucked over the past year :(

Alright, enough! You gotta be kidding me with your kid comment about skateboarding, i'd like to see you even paddle out through the whitewash on a swell this size. Only a few spots can hold form, this is big dont be an idiot. And the other guys video is crap, its 1-2 feet in monerayjohn50. The barrel is good, he was deep. The crowd was insane in and out the water, way too many people yes. But the waves were still great, a little mushy at points but big! Look close for godo falls.

big time, don't let the newbie get to ya. 100 rescues that day, 2 lifeguards on jetskis - It's not Todos or Mavs, but it was solid & the crowd alone ups the cajones factor 10-fold.

This place is a contender for the most crowded lineup on earth when it gets really big. I've almost had this place to myself a couple of times when it was 5-7 ft. Of course that was 20 years ago.

Great video...Love the footage and the music was perfect. How was that first barrel??? That guy was stoked. I was a little bummed to see how many people have no respect by burning other peoples waves, but I guess that's Swamis for you. Check out my footage of Ventura County if you get the chance.
