yea, it was amazing, dragged my friends to see them telling them"Come on you just have to see Radiohead" but the fuckers fell asleep. I left them sleeping at the top of the field and I got down closer to see them, Happy memories
i know right! yeah, there's photos of me listening to the beatles on a tape walkman at like 6 years old, but i only fucking discovered radiohead like around 8 months ago (due mainly to my dislike of creep and high and dry, in which me and thom yorke have in common), but yeah, i wish i had liked them a little earlier, i haven't evenseen them live yet!
Objectively yes, you'd sort of get more for your money, but I was at 2003 and I'd still prefer to have been at 1997. The 97 performance was significant.. it was a real musical event, the reason why it's often voted (in UK magazines at least) the best live performance of all time. It was the moment, after the very good The Bends, when everybody realised.. "fuck. These guys are really important"
fuck music. radiohead are better... ;)

Damn i didnt even catch that.
That is how good of a singer thom york is.
soadfreak8888 2 years ago
It's become a tradition of his to always sing that line wrong. I don't know if it started here, or at an earlier gig.
Revelation1212 2 years ago 2
Live, he either sings the first line wrong intentionally, or substitutes the second verse with an early lyric.
"Karma police, arrest this girl/She stares at me/As if she owns the world"
And sometimes, he does both.

i love the second verse, where thom's vocals border on a sound of desperation at the start, its phenomenal
whoarethesechumps 3 years ago
Thom's sneering, menacing vocals
Ed's haunting atmospheres
Colin's droning moaning bass
Selway's ability to go mental without drawing too much attention
Johnny's superior musical versatillity
=Radiohead
