- Queen Meave
- various High Kings (Ard Rí na hÉireann)
- Domnall ua Néill (a High King)
- Ruaidrí Ua Conchobair (the last High King of Ireland before Henry VIII took control)

I study ancient Irish history, archaeology, mythology and culture in general at third level here in Éireann and going back until at least a good few centuries B.C. there has been numerous kingships throughout the island.A generally accepted estimate is that there was at any given time at least 150 kings throughout the island, not to mention the more powerful provincial kings
