  • The dude is a freakin powerhouse...

  • *trollface* weak.*trollface off* GOD DAMN!!!

  • it was a great cardio day

  • he can probably do 55 reps at 225

  • i feel like a pussy now

  • Titanic. Anyone being critical is a twink who knows nothing.

  • you know ur strong when u have 3 big black guys standing in the back watching u lol

  • Hoornstra is strong as fuck. Played the vid scrolled down to read some comments than scrolled back up and he was still benchin lol

  • Damn!

  • how much do you weigh?

  • He had at least 5 more reps in him. Dammit thats strong.

  • that was so awesome.. his technique is awesome, no wiggling or nothing.. just one perfect lift after another. and a little struggle with the last few..

  • That is soooo bizarre to see man! I struggle to complete a set of 10 with that weight, and to see him fling it around easier than I fling 135 around? Its just a bizarre crazy sight to see. Its almost hurts my pride, haha. Makes me feel like a puny girly man. I'm going to the gym...

  • That dude actually has technique

    no bouncing on the chest

    no arcing of the back

    just zoop zoop zoop

that was mean man, jsut up and down like it was nothing

  • He's one of the best benchers in the world

  • he has a PhD for your information. youtube has lots of ignorant comments i noticed.

  • I must agree that there are to many ignorant comments, now where did i put my steroids

  • lol classic

  • @realkingkado

    Lmfao

  • no offence dude but you think you know more than Dr. squat?

you realize hi was known as the most knowlegable powerlifter

he squat 1000 pounds and actually is a doctor and studied kinisiology

    no disrespect though

  • i dont know

honestly i think you sound correct

all im saying is Dr. Squat said that its poessible to train a certain way to do that

i dont know if hes right, but he does know more than all of us

  • no it is illegal in bodybuilding

some have been caught doing it in their calves

    its obvious to expert judges

and powerlifting does do official lifts

  • no not that

thats not legal in the bodybuilding world and they check for that

i mean a method of training to do that

  • to fast, didnt see 1 good rep

  • One rep is past what man on street can do.

  • what's the difference between a powerlifter and a strongman?

  • powerlifting is usually the big 3 lifts like squat, bench and deadlift competitions. strongman does that too in different ways but they do relay races with weights too and pull trucks and do atlas ball stuff etc. lots of guys do both.

  • Comment removed

  • to you its a stone, to me its a ball i play with for fun cause im jacked as a fucking donkeys fire dragon breath

  • i think he could make the nfl combine benchpress lol

  • holy shit this guy is intense

  • omg are you people even contemplating that you know better, or are better than this dude??? ARE YOU GUYS SERIOUS! do you know how pointless it is locking out at every rep and theres FUCK ALL wrong with partials! this guy is a fucking behemoth, have you not seen him effortlessly (looks that way) bench 675lbs at 242lbs????

  • ya dude your right. this guy has extreme power

  • Yo wassup? Just wondering who this guy is? Professional bencher? Strongman? PL?

  • @asddfkfkfkfkf ppl are dumb man. They don't know that if you lockout ALL THE TIME on lifts when you're repping a lot it tends to mess up your joints big time. This is perfect. Damn this comment is old lmao

  • thats one strong mofo

  • Its always funny to watch the FIRST rep of these kinds of lifts off a really strong lifter. They always give it more power than necessary and blast the weight are too hard and surpsise themselves. You can tell because they have to catch the weight a bit as they push it to lockout so quick it heads back towards the rack lol. Good vid.

  • hahahahah. ya man. it's hilarious. they allmost throw the weight

  • My lifts are all drug free. I think I was more impressive as a teenager benching then now. I cant bench 2.5 times my bodyweight raw. I jsut wathced the world championships for powerlifting and the gold medal for bench was 232.5kg with a shirt. Some depressing knowing I would have won that on an off day with a loose shirt. I never qualified this year because I boombed at nationals whne I injured my back in the squat. Mayb e next year.

  • Greg! You da man! I am very impressed with your progression. I hope to see more of your vids!!

  • ...gold medal for bench 232.5kg with a shirt..?

really crappy lifters considering it was the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS... seriously

  • it dependes on which weightclass you are lifting in, like 75-82,5 ther is a guy named daiki kodama and he presses 281 kg :S

    and thats insane.

but i'm talking about ipf. but this guy may lift in wpo i don't know

  • silly bench pressing..makes me want to stop lifting.

  • bodyweight for 40 not bad but not as impressive as his 1 rep max. ALot of guys can bench bodyweight for 40 but not many can bench 675.

  • that is fucking power.

  • what was ur weight while doing 260. Is that ur off season training weight? Really great bench. I'm trying to figure out who the lbs for lbs best bench press for reps guy out there is.

  • I think Jeremy was 260 when he did this - it was a bodyweight reps thing.

  • Amazing!

  • Cud u guys comment on my bench pressing video Cheers

  • nice job dude

  • I'm 15 and have just started bench pressing and i can bench 100lbs 6reps. I increase the weight by 2.5kg each week is that good????

  • Yes it is, continue your training and u'll be strong

  • I will do man

  • But if you increase the weight by 50 pounds a week you will get stronger.

  • thats really good

i started last june year as a freshman going 105 and with hardwork ive gone from 5 reps of 105 to 5 reps of 250

  • LOL? stay away from girls r u some kinda faggot

  • lol...you were benching close to twice your bodyweight at 15...lets see the vid baby.

  • i believe a 15 year old can bench double bodyweight at 15, my 1st double bodyweight was at 16 so why not someone at 15, there are alot of freaks in the world.

  • I'm not sure what to say. USAPL has ONE person in the 14-15 year age group who have benched twice their bodyweight. Of course when I asked for a vid I got the standard "Uhhhh, welll, I tore my pec and can't do that anymore!" I also find your "A lot of guys can bench press their bodyweight 40 times" a bit hard to swallow.

Name one person either than Jeremy Hoonstra (a world record holder) that you've seen do this?

  • Uhhhh, I guess besides yourself too :-) I saw some of your bench vids, pretty impressive.

  • Well my brother could do it I know and I went in a bench for reps contest a few years ago and stoped at 50. I think my brother had done 42 and there were alot in the 30's. And since I am not the best bencher in the world by a long shot there must be 1000's who can do it. A gymnast turned bodybuilder at my gym can do it. Thats why I said his max is more impresive then his reps. Most small lifters like the 150 lbs guys have alot easier time benching there weight alot of times.

  • I guess it depends on extension and the lighter guys would have an easier time of it. I don't think you give yourself enough credit. What are you benching? Over 2.5x bodyweight? That's world class, and if you're not juicing that's even more impressive.

  • stay away from the girls? Uhhh...why?

  • Dude, I was kidding about the girls man, it was a joke.

I don't have a video, and I'm not lying, not that it matters anyway.

I didn't concentrate on the bench press though, my main lift was the deadlift, which I did 370 in the 114 weight class, weighed in at 113, and again I was 15, I did that one in competition though, so I do have proof of that, not that it matters proving anything on the internet.

Racing motocross I injured my shoulder and so no more bench press like before.

  • Shut the fuck up sakoaper1 you little faggot. You are the typical little YouTube bitch who talks themself up but has no videos to prove it. You probably can't even bench 150lbs.

  • Um... I'm 13 and wieght about 132. I'm not overwieght, just muscular. I'm 5'4".

  • Every heavy fat kid says it's muscle. Not it is not.

  • No joke, fat is fat, if you can't see veins it's fat.

  • There is fat under the skin and there is fat in the muscle. Genetics maps out your fat distribution. you can lower or raise the content but not the distribution. That is unless drugs or surgery are employed!!!!

  • supposedly, according to dr. squat there is a way that bbuilders get more fat in muscles to inflate them

  • shit son, how can i be like yoy?

  • A shitload of guys can to 405x20? Raw? I've seen 2 guys do it. Kennely and Hoonstra. Mendy probably could and maybe a few other super heavies.

  • holly shit

  • endurance and power good combo great job

  • Like I said, either way I don't care. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. What makes you assume that he is? Got any proof?

Ever heard of Rock Lewis? 600lb bencher at 230lbs, raw, DRUG-FREE!

  • jeremy is a great guy, check out his interview, awesome dude

  • I like how a lot of people automatically assume that bigger guys are on steroids. I don't know for sure if Jeremy is or not, and really don't care he's a freakin' monster!

Another thing, who gives a darn whether or not he, or anybody for that matter, is doing "full reps." Obviously he is doing something right since he can bench 675 raw on flat bench! Let people workout however the hell they want to, and give Jeremy the recognition he deserves.

  • fo sho

  • You don't know for sure if he is using steroids... One question: ARE YOU MENTALLY CHALLENGED?

  • Like I said, either way I don't care. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. What makes you assume that he is? Got any proof?

Ever heard of Rock Lewis? 600lb bencher at 230lbs, raw, DRUG-FREE!

  • strong half reps

  • ANIMAL!

  • 260 lbs ortalama 117 kg'ya karşılık geliyo ben bunu yapabilecek bi çok adam tanıyorum bu nedirki??

  • Is load on your scapula the upper part of the scapula towards the traps or the lower part of you scapula.

  • power

  • He walks like hes got a stick up his ass, what a fucking loser.. walk NORMAL YOU IDIOT!

  • he walks like it but you dont because u are used to the pounding.

  • Without a doubt I am a big bodybuilder but I do NOT carry myself like a hard ass walker like that. You got a problem with that dude?

  • you see him take 3-4 steps in this video, calm down killer.

  • lol

  • the ignorance is strong in these comments

as if NFL players lock out in the combine and don't bounce it off their chest, geesh

jeremy hoornstra is an elite raw bench presser, so you guys need to stfu and gtfo

  • i hate people who make comments on how bad peoples form is

  • I counted 4 reps where he actually locked his elbows.

  • the guy hit 675 and "locked his elbows" on flat bench. maybe it is you that should be learning from him

  • haha why the fuck would he lock his elbows on all of those reps anyways MLGary??? To perhaps damage them... or should he get close to lockout with out locking out to keep constant tension on the muscle?? I can tell you the way he is benching is 100% perfect except for the reps he locked out. You are completely opposite of what is right. Unless it is a low rep set, you dont lock out.

  • holyshit..beast.

  • 34256 alot of times when you do reps like that your stomach flexes..sticking outward..:O he's a beast :D

  • thenks for makin me feel like a pussy man

  • what can this guy max

  • He has hit 675 and 700 in the gym and 615 and I think 635 in competition. And he's only 242 pounds. He's going to go down as the best raw bencher in the world if he can avoid injuries.

  • i dont think doing 60 reps of 260 is a good way to avoid a injury

  • Huh? How would 60 reps with a light weight be conducive to injury? It's very easy on joints, tendons, and muscle.

  • 405 for 24, dude, I have the DVD as well

  • i dont think anyone can do 405 for 24 reps man even some juiced up guy

  • Haha i hope you are kidding. There is a shitload of guys out there that can do that. On youtube there is a vid of Ryan Kennelly doing 405 x 20 like fuck all. What world have you been living in?

  • That comment was for Geni

  • wtf do they eat man damnn is he a power lifter

  • Yes Geni he is a powerlifter. He raw benches 7 plates a side. He isnt even doing three a side there, so it is as light as can be for him.

  • man how come powrlifters are so strong but they dont look as big and muscular as bodybuilders they do take steroids but bodybuilders they look way to muscular then powerlifters

  • cuz powerlifters go for high weight low reps to train there muscles for short bursts, while bodybuilders do higher(but not to high) reps on still a pretty heavy weight(but not as high as powerlifters) to tire out ALL the muscle fibers.

  • its all about body fat, once the fat is off, which is HARD WORK, YOU SEE EVERY DETAIL.

  • a shitload as in less than 100 in the country.

  • Still a shitload considering Geni thought zero existed.

  • dude put on more weight thats to light 4 u

  • you're a complete moron. This guy is one of the best unequipped benchers alive. He knows what he's going

  • haha yeh right cunt!

  • i know you aint typen at me cock sucka

  • na m8 im talkin bout that dickhead who said he can cur more than that :P

well done in the vid though, wish i could do that!

  • He's an animal. I have his DVD and he does 405x21 reps.

  • he had more in the tank still...god damn!

  • Holy shit.
