  • He truly is the unfunniest arse in the universe… whose delivery just assumes the audience will be complicit in the utterly bog-standard, unsurprising bit of wafty liberal observation that is coming out of his mouth. Funny people don’t do this.

  • @meursault48 He made me laugh more than you so, ya know.

  • @meursault48 Fuck you and the newspaper you sailed in on.

  • @meursault48

I watch this show almost once a week cause it tickles my funny bone, so..I mean..clearly you're wrong, or were you looking in a mirror?

  • @meursault48 - You're kidding, Marcus Brigstocke a woolly liberal. Who'd have thought. Your also quite right that the right wingers (I would guess like yourself) who he is poking fun at may not find it particularly funny.

  • @LillabetteHane Leftists tend to be the funniest and Chris Huhne is a right-wing liberal

  • and then of course they extended it into the posh areas of london so we had loads of people goin (posh voice) "o no,8 pounds, however will i afford it nenenen dont call me nenenenenen" hahaha spat my drink out at that point :D

  • The only thing I hate about Marcus Brigstocke is he isn't going to make his latest tour i.e. God Collar a DVD.

  • saw him as king arthur in spamalot and he was brilliant

  • HOLY HELL I didn't know Marcus had a live DVD :D.

  • It's kind of unsettling how hostile he is towards vast swathes of his own audience. There are probably more than a few SUV drivers in there

  • 20 people are "some slags" lol

  • @Alwilsh either that, or they lost jobs to polish migrant workers, I'm unemployed but not because of a polish migrant, no, I'm just lazy :)

  • Why is every single piece of British TV on Youtube such crappy video quality?

  • @scalporf wow your american and a brigstocke fan don't you get offended? i've always thought he was quite harsh to yanks

  • @Daleksaresupreme1 I'm an American Brigstocke fan too, and it doesn't really bother me. Mostly because he's right. The redneck end of my family totally embodies the stereotypes he makes fun of. I just assume that he's not talking about /me/ and it's okay, lol

  • @Ulthar678 not all americans are bad most of you are great (in my experience) but the world notices the rednecks cuz they're louder

  • 'New rule, if you've got no chin, you pay twice - fuck you.'

I'd take Marcus over Boris an day. XD

  • Not at all funny though

  • Osama tried corduroy today! burst into flames :L

  • doing a second round of this cause its just better thain most

  • That backround is trippen me out

  • I think I agree with everything.

  • Fuck you, and the newspaper you sailed in on.

  • 19 people work for foxtons

  • I can't see how it's physically possible to be this funny. Brigstocke is the Bacon Sandwich of comedy.

  • @jeroennickman: Lol. The bacon sandwich of comedy.... Nice title.

  • @gimpseatmeat If kalken's vids get thumbs down, but other vids of exactly the same thing get thumbs up and views, then that makes the video uploader the loser - regardless of the content of the video, that's my point. Kalken is an ass, and as such anything to do with his videos or account should be slated. This is not against the guy that the video is of.

    PS: You are a ball-licker

  • @lukevertiis What you fail to understand, is the person who put this vdeo up (kalkenbrenner) sent me a load of nasty unsolicited hate mail for no reason, so I simply got my own back on him by slagging of all his videos.

    Think before you judge.

Maybe that shows a lot about your intelligence......

  • @250Trojan Actually that still leaves you with an 'Intelligence Deficit', your comment is hardly hurtful, so you're coming across pathetic, and publically so. If he sent you hate mail how about you do the sensible thing and just delete it. Yours sincerely, Common Sense.

  • @250Trojan Way to prove a point, oh and nigh-on 99% of people who use youtube couldn't give a crap how many likes/dislikes a video has, seriously, nobody is a 'loser' because of ratings on youtube, I'm starting to think this abuse he sent was far from unsolicited.

  • Planet Boredom... The funniest thing was his corduroy suit, which was hilarious...

  • Is it at all ironic that the thing that pisses me off and that I disagree with the most about this entire show is the excessively passive "it's good that we disagree" message at the beginning. No it wouldn't be creepy if someone agreed with everything you say unless you either, think some of what you say isn't right in which case, why the fuck are you saying it, or if they where simply agreeing with you because you said it, that would be creepy. But alone people agreeing is a GOOD thing.

  • @TornadoCreator True, but his point is he doesn't care if you don't agree. He is correct, it is proof they're thinking and, honestly, people need to disagree sometimes. It sparks debate, and thus more thinking.

The problem with disagreements is people often take them too far. YT is an example, what with all the bitchfests in comments.

  • @FFQueen92

    True...

  • @TornadoCreator I think he means that it's good that we are not all the same, becuase lets be hounst it would be boring if we were :)

  • who would buy a shirt with 0:00 to 0:25 on it?

  • Love the bit about foxtons estate agents!

  • everyone saying bad audience. Bear in mind the venue is very small lol. probably the size of a comedy club.

  • wow... tough crowd... great comedian though utterly genius

  • Joncoelho121 says:

*Nonsense, you tool of British nationalism*

Let me tell you, my American friend, that British Nationalism is alive and well and flourishing here in this Sceptered Isle. There are more tools practising it here than you could ever imagine over there in a former colony. American English is but a bastardised version of the Real Thing.

  • @Gavestonful Looks like its points to England on that one then.

  • @scaryninja1693

"Points to England" for what? For banding together and arguing against an unbiased, objective speaker who may or may not be British? Have you even begun to shut your mouth long enough to see that this isn't an argument about which country I like better? It's about informational political correctness. After that one-liner that you just posted, your tongue utterly has no value to me.

  • @joncoelho121 Good, i'm not inclined to enter into any further argument with a person i can't see or directly address, you clearly can argue online which is fine, but i'm not wasting any more of my time with someone like you.

  • @scaryninja1693

Sorry, I missed the part where you made any sense.

  • @joncoelho121 2 months is a bit late to seem witty, i dont remember you, and i dont care. Save us both some time and dont bother replying.

  • @Gavestonful

... How does having pride in your nationalism make you look any less ignorant? If anything, it blinds you. What you basically just told me was, "Yup. I am biased to Britain about LABELING the English language just because I live her. =)" It's like randymullen511 said. "Airy Paw'er." (Harry Potter)

    @randymullen511

Exactly. lol The British dialect is just as "bastardized" as the United States dialect. "Airy Paw'er." (Harry Potter)

  • Its remarkable how much of this is relevant to Boston... right down to the homicidal drivers and obnoxious subway users. Oh and the inbred hacks and the morons in SUV's who think driving during a snow storm is equivalent to off-roading...

    Really, everything but the names...

  • He is truly a discovery! Thanks for sharing, mate.

  • I must be a creep because I agree with all of it :'(

  • @joncoelho121 You're wrong. Technically, English is a different language from Germanic English, since that was what we call a linguistic phase of change. All the same, it was only known as Germanic because we were under the power of a foreign dignitry. The language itself was still brought about by ENGLISH people, simply with a difference of ancestory. What you're also forgetting is whatever the USA have dubbed English is irrelevant since most of the world still regards the home of English as us

  • @Franksbnetwork

I'll pretend for a minute that you can read: your language is now called "British English," just as the original English was renamed "Old English," which WAS developed by Germanic tribes (Anglo-Saxons). Do you even do any research before you run your big mouth off? I don't know why you'll suddenly be "technical" about Germanic English when you can't even accept a British English. I don't even have enough respect left for you to entertain this frivolous drivel. [cont.]

  • @Franksbnetwork

"The name "England" is derived from the Old English name Engla land, which means "land of the Angles." The Angles were one of the Germanic tribes that settled in Great Britain during the Early Middle Ages." - etymonline [dot] com, Wikipedia

In other words, my blissfully unaware British moron (and before you cry racism, please realize that I did NOT insult Britain; I insulted you. And you are British), the country was named after a word from the Germanic language, not vice-versa.

  • is is just some smart comedy, take your rants onto a forum of idiot political nonsense

  • It's good to see a bit of debate on here; comedians are public speakers- perhaps a branch of modern day, twenty-first century 'everyman' philosophy. It's part of the role (for some depending on their topic choices and style) to discuss hard hitting ideas and subjects. Some of what Marcus says can make for uncomfortable listening- but we go away and think about things; do a little research perhaps, and make up our own minds- which challenge our opinions, and offer clarity and understanding.

  • How the fuck do u ppl get on such crazy comment arguements, ppl its comedy, stop being so fucking serious o.0

  • @ScotlandMaleGlasgow i know, as i said, i agree with all of that, except the mind control slaves, bit mental. Although to be fair, it depends what you mean by mind control, it is possible to brainwash people, Scientology for example. My main point is stop showing off on the youtube comments section for a stand up dvd. He wasn't talking about 9/11, as i said, he just needed an example of an angry man, and who's a more famous angry man? Btw your english needs as much work as your politics.

  • @ScotlandMaleGlasgow well if you can't disprove mind controlling robots then they must exist!

  • @ScotlandMaleGlasgow the joke wasn't even about 9/11, it was just a quick drop in reference of an angry man, if that annoys you then it's you with the problem, not him. btw, don't believe every thing you read on the internet mate.

  • @ScotlandMaleGlasgow oh mate don't get me wrong, i agree with you, all is not right and it doesn't add up. But don't think for a second that we have any real understanding of it, it goes so far above our heads that we never will. just don't go around posting silly comments on youtube trying to make yourself look subversive. You didn't 'cringe', you just don't agree, its a comedy show ffs, even Bridgstocke probably doens't believe the whole thing.

  • @ScotlandMaleGlasgow ah, another coffee shop revolutionary with the 'real' inside track

  • oh gawd he's attractive in'he?

  • Oddly, I kind of agree with this entire thing :)

  • stair at the background at 9:15 really fucks with your eyes

  • he did like the first 3mins exactly the same in live at the apollo, but he is still funny..

  • planet corduroy. the name alone is pretty funny

  • it's amazing how even his sarcasm is so laced with sarcasm that you can't tell if he's sarcastic or not until the end of the joke

  • Really thought this guy was good. Then I watched another show and ffs, he's regurgitated the same lines again and again. Tis a shame.

  • @NoDopeNoHopeMate Thats what comedians do. They do the same jokes at every show because traditionally, you couldn't see every show. Most audiences would see a comedian once, then they're off to a new city. Keep in mind that this show wasn't performed for your benefit, it was recorded for your benefit. Don't blame the comedian, blame youtube.

  • @Reerrpad5515 I'm just stating that i'm a little disapointed. I was willing to regard Marcus as being on par with some of my favourite comedians like Billy Connelly and Dylan Moran, who were regarded as being brilliant because of their ability to keep it fresh everytime. He's good just not as good. If anyone were to goto one of his shows again i'm pretty sure they would be just as disapointed. Good point though.

  • @Reerrpad5515

spot on mate. Take Bill Hicks for example. Comedy legend, but the amount of material he had was surprisingly small.

  • @ScotlandMaleGlasgow If you 'knew' it would be adopted as the cause of 9/11.

    Theories != reality.

  • @pureuk Lamen's definition of a theory != scientific theory. Generally, scientific theory = reality.

  • the symbiotic relationship...of shitness :D

  • The audience were a bit dry for this , its piss funny yet half of it only gets a few giggles, tough croud.

  • @whufc116 it's 'cause most of them saw him live at the Apollo in 2006 and the first 3 minutes-ish of jokes are exactly the same...

  • @whufc116 yeah he derserved at least a fart

  • Marcus is brilliant! His shows are brilliant!

  • Oh, no... I agree with everything he says - does that make me creepy and wrong ?

  • Marcus Brigstocke is Bill Hicks reincarnate - and not just because he paraphrases the occasional line of his, either...

  • Seen it all on Live at the Apollo :(

  • @barnwellbabz lol all of it? They are only allowed 20 mins on live at the apollo so I doubt it.

  • @barnwellbabz fail.

  • @065bowr I know :) LOL

  • Some slags lol

  • i like Tim Minchin plus all the others

    Not dane cook

  • Tim Minchin is behond amazing! :D

  • Tim Minchin is beyond amazing! :D thumbs up - good taste in Comedians :)

  • @LoveFilmStoriesMusic just bought another of his DvDs =)

  • wayyyy too political for me!

  • thia guy is not only funny but he also looks funny, with his oblong shaped head

  • Anyone got some standup comics recomendations?

(iv heard alot of american ones, but not that much brittish ones, and this one is just too f****in funny)

  • @WillPG1212 Rich Hall cracks me up, loads though. Anyone who has been at the apollo except Rob Brydon, I think he's shit

  • Steve Hughes - Although Australian, he now lives in England. I think he is wonderfully funny.

  • Hey Will, A list of my personal favourites: (Their all fairly mainstream so you've probably heard of most) Marcus Brigstocke Chris Rock Michael McIntyre Peter Kay (Only funny if youve never seen him before) Russell Howard Frankie Boyle Ross Noble Jason Manford Sean Lock Most Comedians on 'Live At The Apollo' (If you havent seen it, tap it into Youtube and watch some)
  • cool thanks il check some of them out, only heard about Chris Rock to be honest

  • my favorites are Dylan Moran, Eddie Izzard, Gabriel Iglesias, Russell Peters and Marcus Brigstocke. :)

  • Jim Jeffries man.

  • can't believe no1 has mentioned bill bailey or billy collonny yet. i'd also recommend rhod gilbert

  • Adam Hills :D australian, hes amazing! Michael Mcintyre and Patrick Kielty are great too.

  • Every single thing he said, I heard from live at the Apollo I swear it was word from word! I mean he is funny but I just couldn't laugh this time because I've heard it from him before and it's word perfect! Fuck I just realized he used to play King Stupid from CBBC I loved that show!! Lol

  • @happysappy21

You have just described 95% of all good stand up comedy.

  • then what is stand up comedy?

  • @ NinjaShizzle. Maybe they don't have access to the Internet. Shock and Awe, not everyone does. So a DVD has to suffice :)

  • So i guess the explanation is targeted towards people who are given screenshots by friends who have the internet...

  • Call me a knob right, but why would anyone go and buy the dvd when you can watch it on here anytime you want?

  • broadband limits?

  • @NinjaShizzle you dick...you're absolutely right :P

  • @NinjaShizzle its a good point.

ed byrne mentions that in his second stand up dvd. its funny. but the ones who have their dvds on here most likely know about it, and just leave it here. if youve had the majority of your sales already i suppose the youtube publicity can be worth it...... i think that and then i say to myself. theyre fucking stupid, haha. id have my vids deleted

  • @NinjaShizzle And this is why all the shitty "new" music is coming out of bored kids bedrooms with shitty mic and shitty recording software and they couldn't write a hit song if they were stapled to Paul McCartney.

Because making stuff that nobody pays for is a bad fucking idea. : )

  • @NinjaShizzle

DVDs look gd on ur shelf?

  • @NinjaShizzle knob

  • @NinjaShizzle because its shows respect towards the performer and also encourages him to go on.have you heard of comedians who are not required to pay their expences?

  • @NinjaShizzle

Cause before you know it some company takes away the audio because of copyright infringement.

  • He is great, but he repeats a lot of stuff :(

  • If anyone is looking for this on dvd. I got it on Amazon last month for about 2 Quid brand new. NO JOKE!!

Many copies are being sold for as cheap as 2 quid. One of the best bargains I've ever had.

  • i might have a look in poundland at the weekend, should find it on a triple dvd set with bill bailey and eddie izzard.

or just save my money and watch this first part and realise ive seen it all before

  • I just stopped wanking long enough to say "Hi" from America. (See, even the women wank over here...) Never been called a self-abusing troll before though. Makes me want to go hide under a bridge somewhere. Tee Hee...

  • @Gellis2009 sure they do. they just dont talk about it

  • ROFL okk

  • Comment removed

  • Can we just enjoy the Comedy :D

  • @73ardonic

    Um . . . right.

  • @73ardonic Hahaha what the fuck are you saying? Shut the fuck up, little man.

  • @73ardonic Haha I'm sorry, were you trying to communicate with me? Gee, you're having some trouble there...should learn where to emphasise a word, shouldn't you? Sycophantic? Explain how I'm sycophantic, please.

    P.s It's spelled "probably"...

  • Damn, I've seenthis a million times, and it's still funny!

  • Its a shame he used this in apollo :( I like people like billy conolly who has something different every show

  • You've only noticed this because you've seen hime twice in quick succession. Billy Connolly and in fact most comedians work out their act and use and re-use it until they work up a new act.

Connolly uses some of the same routines he was using in the 70's.

If you see him on a chat show promoting his tour, he'll do the same stuff on stage.

    That's just how it works.

  • i will go and buy this DVD right now!

  • Corduroy totally sounds like it could be the name of a planet in an alien movie.

  • damn. I don't agree with a lot of the stuff this guy says but he is pretty fucking hilarious

  • hmm kate moss brigstock's going up in the world lol.

  • Hmmmm How come if an american boy comes here he gets all the girls and then if a british boy go's to america girls are all over him. Maybe we should swap.

  • The americans would have around 30 odd million girls and we would have 150 million girls.

  • As a Brit, I'd say that's a damn good deal.

  • I imagined the Chief editor of the Express with pancreatic cancer and lol'd.

  • Can't you read, I imagined it, never did I suggest the fictional cancer I was loling at was wished upon him. Also I'm not a miserable person.

  • Fuck, man, what is the point of commenting on the video of man you dislike, stating only that you dislike them? What the fuck have you achieved except a negative rating?

I fully support your right to express your opinion. That is, your right to express your opinion somewhere fucking else.

  • He's so funny! I <3 the british accent!

  • are you american? bottle, straw

  • yes.

& what about bottle and straw?

  • last time i met some american girls saying those words were funny for some reason

  • hmm.. in american english they are nothing special. but in british english i suppose they do sound kinda funny. ..but more cute than funny.

PS. don't believe everything americans tell you.

everything without an exception we write is a lie.

    except for that sentence above.

  • No such thing as "British English" my friend, it's just "English". Americans just don't know how to speak our language correctly.

    Brigstocke is amazingly funny :P

  • you sir, win.

  • but we'll kick your ass in a fight

  • what a stupid, moronic thing to say. you sir, fail.

  • No you couldnt and BTW we didn't need your help in WWII

  • tell that to japan... who got the nukes?

  • Stupid thing to say. We did need their help and we needed the Russians even more. Although without us they wouldn't have had the chance to fight. So in a way, we all, um, you know, were... what's it called... Oh yes: ALLIES

  • Your war comment is probably the best one I've seen/heard in my entire life. Seriously, you understand it.

  • i second the notion, that you sir, win!

lmao - "americans just dont know how to speak OUR language correctly".

    win win win.

  • @Franksbnetwork The English language does not belong exclusively to English people. And you do not speak for Americans in general.

  • @Franksbnetwork just tell west london to start speaking it correctly, too. I'm tired of hearing English people say "Airy Paw'er!" (Harry Potter). And if you could do something about liverpool and manchester, that would be lovely, as well.

  • @Franksbnetwork

Nonsense, you tool of British nationalism. English has adopted a new definition with the dominance of the United States of America's world power status. The blanket term "English," my snobbish friend, now refers to a language unspecific to a particular dialect. And mind you, the language was originated by German settlers. Now doesn't that just throw you for a loop. How 'bout "Germanic English"?

  • fuck off with germanic.

that is old english learn about modern english

  • @joncoelho121 The language originated here mate. OTher countrys influenced it which is why we use french, spanish and other words in the english language but it was shaped here in england. Makes sense doesnt it? English... England. Most of the words you use everyday in the english language were created by William Shakespear... who was form england.

  • oh and "harry potter"

  • too hot, fuck it. XD

  • ummmm, this is exactly same as his Live at the Apollo gig :P

  • Thats what comedians do, they think of some jokes that work and sticks with um.
