  • This is not a Viola d'Amore ! This a common viola !

  • Amore must refer to the maker, because this is clearly not a viola D'amore. It is just a run of the mill viola of the VIOLIN family. Not the viola d'amore from the VIOL family, with sympathetic strings.

  • try other strings on this viola! I don't like this one!

  • too bad my 17 inch viola can completley obliterate that hahah..... and i dont know why its called d'amore but if you were looking for a viola, the sound should be the only factor. the C was too deep for a 16-15 (?) inch and would not be able to be sustained in an orchestra. Tarnish dampens the sound so dont be fooled by "pretty flamed instruments" all bs. Focus on sound. plus thats not a d'amore...... i want one so bad hahahha

  • Err... is it just me, or was the open C a shade flat?

  • It would be a great sounding instrument if you put some pirastro Evah Pirazzi Strings on it. Right now it has potential, but those dominants make it sound scratchy, metallic and generally unpleasant. The Pirazzi's would give it the mellow sounds that would really bring out the tone

  • Y la viola d`amore ?????

  • don't perplex others - this is a plain viola,

amore viola is a completely different baroque instrument!!

  • i think "amore" is the name of the model , he's not refering to a Viola D'Amore.

  • looks a little like mine

  • Good! Only the A is a little bit less;P
