It must feel like there is more than 10 pins up there when you leave the 7 1/2 pin.
Mike Wolfe mostly throws it straight now and last I saw him, he left the 8 pin, along with a couple vicious ringing 10's at the Earl Anthony Classic (An ugly event to say the least).
@GlorifiedTruth You have got to be kidding me. First of all, calling someone a real or fake bowler is asinine. Second, that was the line he chose to play. If you saw the previous match, he was playing a little straighter than that. Third, this really was bad luck, dude. No matter what line you play, this could happen to anyone. Anyone! You can only control carry to a very small degree. Mike Wolfe is very talented. He pretty much plays as straight as he can in any tournament.
It was the 2 pin that hit it. If you've ever seen the video of the solid 3 pin that slides into the spot between the 6 and 10 pin spots, you'll realize how awesome it would have been to see that heppen at the same time.
It was the 2 pin that hit the 7. The other day, I hit the 1-3 pocket and the 3 pin slid back into the 10 pin spot and stayed standing. It cost me a 256 game, so it was only a 235! That's bowling for ya.
@BowlerScott The 8 pin slid over where the 7 pin was and it looked like the 8 pin was going to fall over, but another pin prevented the 8 pin from falling over. What kept the 8 pin from falling over? I couldn't tell.
I just love it when those happen. I had the same thing with the 9 pin last tuesday night on leagues, almost fell over and ended up in the 10 spot. Gotta take it all in stride like he did and laugh at it.
It was the 2-pin that paralyzed the 8 and stood it back up near the 7 spot. Yuck.

At least the man made the spare for the 8 pin. It actually was the 7 pin that he converted to make the spare.

This was not "bad luck." Wolfe needs to start throwing straight like a real bowler and give up on those ridiculous hook shots.

a smash 8 pin is bad luck regardless of what line you are throwing. You are delusional if you think otherwise.

I wonce left a ringing 10 but the 6 slightly hit the 10 and moved it off spot almost into the 9 pins spot.

new pins do that a lot... The lanes I've been bowling on in league do just that occasionally. I got 8-10 once!

i've blown so many 300 games due to bad carry, new pins, and horrid pin action... thrown 268, both wobbling 9s.. and im righty.........
