@KFlahavan - My estimation of the meaning behind the song is that it's a girl whose afraid to get close to anyone for fear of getting hurt (she don't want nobody near). For whatever reason, people are gravitated to her but she always pushes them away. Could be way off-base, but that's my guess.

They would rather listen to Justin Timberlake sing to a studio manufatured rythm track then to hear musicians actually play instruments. @action Fair question. He had one of the greatest voices of the 90's, but the band ultimately crashed and burned when they were deemed phonies by the true believers. They were a studio concoction with NO personal connections to the grungy, earthy-street imagery in this or their other videos and songs. 90's listeners were rebelling against the stadium-rock, Madison Avenue image fakers, and this band fooled some of them, but only for a while.
