  • BMW have it right. Other car manufacturers are giving their cars hydrogen fuel cells to power electric motors, whereas these guys are simply blowing it up in an ICE to make more power than gasoline :D

  • holy crap! even with Hydrogen this thing can go 160mph!

  • the future is closer than you think.

  • If you pee in the tank, would it work? Just curious.

  • @6tortured6soul6 does your pee contain H2? I think not -_-

  • Hydrogen is much better than toxic Batterys ! Why not use the (15000 w/h) from a house roof for driving - it´s better than destroying the rain forest.

  • That's not a petrol hose thats a freaking gun

  • HA! he did not pay that hydrogen! sneaky

  • So, the fuel is Hydrogen gas..or H2 for short

Is it possible, for the fuel to be liquid H2O and the seperation process to be taken within the car and not outside the car? Resulting in Oxygen gas being released in the atmosphere(which is good) and cheaper fuels(just use water)

  • @nasdin94 No it is not possible as it would violate a fundamental energy conservation law which states that the transfer of energy is never 100% efficient for any system. Converting water to hydrogen, regardless of the process (electrolysis, fractional distilation, etc) requires more energy than the amount of energy produced by hydrogen to run the car, so in other words the car might produce hydrogen but it wount move, it will be a sitting factory.

  • @mboromboroone You are over thinking it. Gasoline is not 100% efficient, So neither does Hydrogen have to be. It just has to be reliable. And when you think it over, it is a better candidate for a combustion engine. It burns completely with some incredible push and doesn't leave residue behind like gasoline does because the gasoline didn't burn completely. It's being done. This is not after effects making the Hydrogen 7 run.

  • The debate isnt what you are rebutting. The point is there is no car that can take in only water not H2 and run because the energy needed to split hydrogen from water is always more than the energy received by oxidizing hydrogen (to form water). I am not arguing about how H2 compares to gasoline.

  • @mboromboroone But the thing is that we are not using all the available energy from the sun. There are very interesting studies that shows that creating hydrogen from solar devices has a very acceptable rate of effeciency. This is mostly thanks to nano solar tecnology. In my humble opinion hydrogen might be the solution to substitute toxic technologies such as fossil energy sources.

  • HEY!!! He didn't pay for the hydrogen!! :D

  • I think in the future everyday cars will use electric and sports cars will use hydrogen...because hydrogen is very expensive to produce but is better for sport cars

  • dio can ,ma che crucchi di merda!

  • Why aren't we all driving similar cars! I want one!!!!!!!!!!

  • Cool, no more petroleum use.... No more wars for it !!!!

  • best thing is you can make Hydrogen fuel from your tap water... Hydrogen is the most abundant molecule in the universe.

  • Hydrogen pump made me LOL...Its like RAPE@!!

  • The BMW hydrogen 7 seems like a better solution than fuel cell vehicles. The primary reason, the internal combustible engine. Will the BMW Hydrogen 7 use a metal hydride for storage of the hydrogen?

  • hydrogen FTW i am really gonna buy one H-car as soon as its spread around the globe.

Oh and one thing, fuck arab oilsheikhs, you are going doooown

  • hydrogen FTW im gonna buy one car like this as soon the revolution is around the globe

  • this is a future.

  • If this car exists and works, is the only thing keeping it from going into production is the lack of hydrogen stations?

  • Hydrogen is the future. Lets just start making hydrogen cars.

  • wow i really wish the gas company would fuck off.

  • I WHANT THAT !!! drive without worrys about pollution and consumtion !!

  • I like how its not quiet and still has a nice sporty sound to it

  • @000eMan000 didn't every bmw got those propperties?

  • @000eMan000 Yeah, as a pedestrian I'd hate it if cars in the future were all silent and sneaked up behind me when I'm crossing the street.

  • bad thing hydrogen explodes with contact with air, you are inside of a bomb but id take the risk

  • no?

  • @diego750il petrol is explosive with oxygen no big change there really in fact petrol is more explosive than hydrogen

  • this car pollutes less then a prius, and runs much better

  • it doesn't pollute at all...it's exhaust is water.

  • some parts are still made from plastic, not organic. so it still pollutes some in the long run.

  • I fell in love with this car

  • Yeah this is a very good car, this car make a noise and not pollution, good ideo no?

  • How do they safely store the hydrogen?

  • it is compressed

  • My dream car !

  • mammamia che bolide !!!

  • how much does this car go for 150,000 dollars or what?

  • its a BMW soooo ya, not that thats too far off a brand new beamer runnin of gasoline

  • It's not for public sale yet, and probably won't be for quite a while.

  • Yeah and that's because of the dirty petrol business in the world

  • 0.200kg 1.60 euro

  • fake gov/corp ss technology.

  • how muche doest it cost 1 L /Kg of Hydrogen?????.....

  • so you are saying that this car produces oxygen?

As far as this illustration is showing.

    care to comment?

  • It looks as if the animation is showing the process of electrolysis. It takes water and separates the water molecule into H2 and O2 by passing direct current through it. That is how they will produce the hydrogen fuel. When the combustion process takes place, the H2 will combine with the O2 in the air and produce H20 as exhaust.

  • swaeet

  • I personally favor hydrogen combustion than fuel cell.

    reasons : i dunno.

And who ever said the cheapest way to get hydrogen is from fossil fuels..

can you state the link of the site where you found this statement or refer me to the book ..?

  • Kinda sounds like diesel on Hydrogen mode?

  • This is favoring the automotive and oil companies. The reason why they are doing research on hydrogen cars instead of electric cars is because it takes 3x more energy to power a hydrogen car the same distance of an electric car. And the cheapest way to get hydrogen, is through fossil fuels. Remember all the electric cars they destroyed?

  • I can't agree with you less. Fossil fuel is not the only source of producing electricity for the electrolysis of H2O. The matter of fact is if there is a constant demand of hydrogen, nuclear is a cheaper energy source for a stable demand. And don't forget about solar power and wind power, there is no storage of them in a effective way yet, storage of electrical energy in chemical form could be a solution.

  • Moreover, I am not to positive about electric cars, consider the batteries of laptops, they have a short lifespan under constant recharging and discharging, and the disposal of them creates more pollution.

  • Moreover, I am not to positive about electric cars, consider the batteries of laptops, they have a short lifespan under constant recharging and discharging, and the disposal of them creates more pollution.

  • wow a real good argument back and forth i dunno what i agree with or what is logical

  • Well, if we could pull through with capacitor based batteries, as well as utilizing 3-phase power. They would have a DRAMATIC increase inin both lifespan and would create significantly less pollution to dispose and utilize.

  • It makes such an interesting start-up noise!
