  • max linder , J' AAAAADDDOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRREEEEE

  • The begining was very funny. He is a bit of a retard for wreking the house tho.

  • Merci d'avoir téléchargé ! :)

  • Just watched this on the Landmarks of Early Film compilation. Max Linder is a great actor and I laughed throughout the whole thing!

  • Actually you were right. It's "Vive la vie de Garçon", in the american version: "Trouble of a grass widower" 1908.

I've just studied this, reading the book "Breve storia del divismo cinematografico ["Brief history of cinema stardom] (written by Cristina Jandelli researcher at the department of arts and entertainment history of University of Florence, Italy; published by Elementi Marsilio), chapter 1, paragraph 2, which is about Max Linder and André Deed.

Trust me, you were right :3

  • I love it. I like Max Lander. Thanks !!!

  • BOOO.. Lloyd was different...this kid inspired CHAPLIN!!!

  • Lloyd was better...

  • Thanks so much.

  • thanks!!!

    I'm searching for:

    Max, professeur de tango (1912)

    can anybody help?

  • DVD Empire has a dvd with compilation of his works for $18 I bought in there.

Name is : Laugh with Max Linder

  • Truly it's not "Vive la vie de Garçon" (1908) but "Max reprend sa Liberté" (1912).

  • You're absoluttely right, my mistake... I changed it. I don't know why i confused with Vive la vie de garçon, sorry.

  • No! No!! No!!! This is NOT „Max reprend sa liberté but indeed the 1908 version. You can i.e. tell by the looks of Max himself and, more important, by the Pathé cock, placed into every (well almost) scene of the film to avoid illegal copying, a practice they abandoned around 1910.

The ending is different too. In „Max reprend sa liberté Max inherits a large fortune and doesn't have to take his wife back.

  • LOL I saw this in class. Amazing what you can find on youtube.

  • trop fort ce MAX!

  • Bravo M

  • Bha oui hein...c'est dure de vivre sans femme !

  • J'aime les films de Max Linder! More please.

  • la ville de Vervier meme ambiance!super, comme a la belle epoque.

  • Linder was the first actor with a re-occcuring role and a following, thus the first movie star. Chaplin credited him as the first comic genius. He suffered poor health due to being gazed during WW1.

  • I am honored to share in the experience of watching Max Linder. He is truly a cinematic gem whose revival is long over due.

  • Keaton, Chaplin. Lloyd...and Max Linder. Uniques!!!...!

  • Too cool, Max was way ahead of his time.
