  • The last great Southern Rock Band Period!

  • Totally badass

  • GREAT fucking version of this! Holy shit. I loved "Wishpool", but the debut and "Seeds" were great records as well. Yeah.. Awesome. Sad they didnt get the commercial success they so deserved. Sad even more that Roman Glick "went country". I think their name was part of the problem. Guys in my band turned me on to them, or i woulda never checked them out, cos of the name!

  • GREAT fucking version of this! Holy shit. I loved "Wishpool", but the debut and "Seeds" were great records as well. Yeah....This is what Pearl Jam wishes they were. Awesome. I never will understand that.

  • No, ur absolutely correct!! These guys DO sound incredible live. I wouldn't trade my days of watching them play venues in Birmingham, AL for anything!! Damon, u &the guys ROCK!!! Kudos 2u all!!

  • I'd sooner sit on a 9-inch railroad spike than hit the dislike button on this video.

  • Check out "20/20 Faith" from the same album....this was a genuinely good band.

  • Check out "20/20 Faith from the same album....this was a genuinely good band.

  • badass fucking song

  • rockin song. shame the studio ruined Halloween 6.

  • Sabu - completely agree!!! Like Raging Slab, Maggie's Dream, Cry Of Love, Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies..........., These guys, and more.... Sigh. Anyways, this song's great, and a sweet live version indeed.... Cheers!

  • do u really understand? thats real

  • this is a great live version. what a kick ass song.

  • They sound amazing live. Not something you see everyday; a band that sounds just as good live as they do in the studio, if not better.

  • bass dude is sick..sings it out like Lemme. Fuck me.

  • Amazing live performance so presice and clean! WoW!

  • man i miss the good times i had listening to the song in the 90's. awesome music like this is just a memory now because of all the bullshit music that is out today. first heard this in halloween 6 which was a kickass movie

  • Great Guitar RIFF

  • Would love to see this band... I got into their music too late...

  • It is also in the film itself, albeit way too briefly.

  • t true....R.I.P Donald presence

  • @myers82 And It is heard on the radio after Danny and Karyn Leaves the Myers House

  • @wfkernea

    yes ;-)

  • Damon is awesome! One of my favourite guitarists.

  • Fuggen A ! Great band !

  • The lead singer is from Geraldine, Alabama about 50 miles from where I am, which is Bridgeport.

  • One of the best songs to come out of the90's!

  • they album version sound s like a soundgarden

  • how can a mic that high be comfortable? Seems odd....

  • Great song. First heard it in Halloween 6: the Curse of Michaels Myers (cause I am BIG on horror movies; Halloween's my fav series).

    Sounds like grunge to me.

PS: Anyone thing the riff sounds kinda like Man in the Box by Alice in Chains?

  • reminds me of halloween 6

  • i like this song its badass

  • They still sound great several years later!

  • damon is bad ass i am really good friends with his son and he is a really cool guy

  • Liar

  • ok let me u tell u since you know me and all

  • listed under blues , but sound like grunge to me :)

  • Post Grunge.

  • my dad went to highschool school with damon was actually close friends with him in Alabama

  • yeah right.

  • I have been looking for this fucking song for over 10 yrs. I remember hearing it at age 13 back in 94, and have heard it in my head for years and years and its frustrated the piss out of me, now i know the artists. fuck yaaaaaaa!!! This type of music needs to come back. I thought for yrs it was soundgarden B-side.

  • Me too.I thought it was pearl jam for ages because i only heard it in the film Halloween 6.I am sooo glad i now know who it is and can go and buy it.This music ROCKS!!

  • These guys hooked up with some Queensryche band members and formed slave to the system. You should check it out, I can't find the shit on here though.

  • @manicdepression81 some birmingham alabama boys ..........seen these guys countless times in birmingham.......always a great show.

  • great song!! hypnotic!

  • so can I thanks for the pointer, great post

  • check the paintraindesigns myspace to order

    DVD

  • I'm really impressed by this band, its a shame I didn't find out about them sooner.

  • this is truely an incredible band. too bad all good things come to an end...i think he sounds more like chris cornell.

  • I agree. Sounds somewhere in between Layne and Chris vocal ranges... Wishpool was a great album too.

  • Damon has a great voice and musical talent out both wazoos.

It seems like every band he's in sounds fantastic. His current band is a country band called "Whiskey Falls". Add that to his resume that includes Brother Cane, Red Halo, The Welfare (the world's greatest bar band), Slave to the System, and God only knows how many other bands...

  • I'm going to check out these other bands for sure now!

  • This is great. Rocks not dead. Check out Richie Kotzen's latest "Go Fast". Real rock.

  • Damon sounds A LOT like Zakk Wylde.

  • I've always loved this song, I rememeber it took me forever to find the name of the band, and i finally found it. Listened to it for like 3 straight days. Great band! God I miss the 90's thats when music was legit

  • y is it so hard to find the original videos nowadays

  • Is it me, or do these guys sound fantastic live?!?

  • @nmxportep Yes they did sound great...what a great show it was! First one in a long time for them!

  • Man I miss the 90's. What an era of music!!!WTF happened to rock n roll!? Everything sounds the same these days.

  • Thank you. So damn true. Rock is almost dead. It's like... in a coma.

  • I wish music was still like this.

  • The end is missing...

  • One of the best rock songs of the 90's, bar none. Brother Cane were bad f'n ass - another great band buried by the bullshit avalanche that is the American music industry.

  • fuck you slappy hip this isnt a rip off.. this songs bad ass..

  • and goodnight...

    jim shino...

    wherever... you... are...

thanks for diggin up great rock in a shitty

    decade.

also cry of love, screamin cheetah wheelies.

  • Wicked, live vocals!

  • Brother Cane is the best thing Damon has ever done, his new stuff just plain sucks...period. It is pure shit. Seeds and Wishpool were life changing records for me.

  • I love this song,it has such a haunting feel to it,wish I could find the original vid for this on youtube

  • Such a freakin' awesome band.

  • Luanne Gorman are you still alive, Texas wants to know.

  • I think this is a beautiful song,it gives me the chills and brings back alot of great memories.

  • the guitar riff sounds like it wants to go into Alice in Chains "man in the box"

  • You're right,but it's written in a different key

  • thats exactly what i thought too! this song is sooo 90s

  • Man in the box is Writen in E and this tune is writen in F share minor

  • Best song ever made.

  • I agree!

  • they rock!!!!!

  • Where is their video to "Lie in the Bed I Make"? that is an awesome somg, more so than this, and I saw the video on Headbangers Ball, so it should exist somewhere out here.

  • Damon is playing guitar now for Alice Cooper, had the pleasure of catching a show last fall. DJ is still in fine form, a truly amazing guitarist. Very sad Brother Cane never caught on the way they deserved to, they had some killer tunes back in the 90's, way better than a lot of the shit that got all the attention!

  • I only liked three songs on this cd. This track, Intempted, and Eugena.

  • great record!!!

  • Great song

  • miss these guys.

  • These guys ROCK! Get the CDs.....they are ALL GREAT! GOOD STUFF!!!

  • i hear no excuses from chains , you can tell aic is an influence but this is one og the top 5 songs from the 90s !! great

  • Very cool song. Like his voice but havn't heard anything new. Does anyone know if they are still

    together?

  • Roman is now playing bass for Jackyl. Damon is in a country band called Whiskey Falls. Both were also in a band together called Slave to the System.

  • I need to say it. Alice in chains sounded like this. Man in the box has the same groove on the rythm guitar, maybe it's the same note. And also has the same backing vocals stile. This is a great song, I'm just wondering if Alice in Chains was that original I used to think.

I haven't heard this song in years, but now all I hear is a song that could be played by Alice in Chains, but I feel that Brother Cane came first.

To near to be a blind coincidence maybe. I dunno

  • Man in the Box came out about 5 years before this song I believe. But they both rock unbelievably hard!

  • Nope, AiC's man in the box was 1989. This was Mid 90s.

  • Dude......are you sure that is the real Brother Cane?

It sure doesn't look like the band I met. Check out my Brother Cane video doing this song accustically. The real band that recorded the song "Fools Shine On"

  • Nevermind.......it's them....they just got older!

  • Tremendous song ...I do not hav this album, so this a real treat.

  • cool song cool band

  • this is a really cool band. i wish they would come to tennessee

  • Anyone here know Luanne Gorman?

  • anyone have a live version of anything off of Wishpool?

    I lie in the bed I make...perhaps??

  • Was it back in '93 or 94??? this song OWNED my brain for a good while! I used to walk around my house singing it. YOU know how it is! Awesome song by an awesome band. Crap...I'm probly gonna get my heas stuck on this tune again...better shut the doors and windows I guess.

  • I still love the song now! There is nodoubt in my mind that Brother Cane's tallent surpasses most, if not all. In my opinion.

  • Yeah I heard this on the radio tonight and had to look it up. I loved this song back in the early 90's maybe? I forget.

  • I loved this song back in the day...wow, these guys are still around?!
