GREAT fucking version of this! Holy shit. I loved "Wishpool", but the debut and "Seeds" were great records as well. Yeah.. Awesome. Sad they didnt get the commercial success they so deserved. Sad even more that Roman Glick "went country". I think their name was part of the problem. Guys in my band turned me on to them, or i woulda never checked them out, cos of the name!
GREAT fucking version of this! Holy shit. I loved "Wishpool", but the debut and "Seeds" were great records as well. Yeah....This is what Pearl Jam wishes they were. Awesome. Sad they didnt get the commercial success they so deserved. Sad even more that Roman Glick "went country". I think their name was part of the problem. Guys in my band turned me on to them, or i woulda never checked them out, cos of the name!
No, ur absolutely correct!! These guys DO sound incredible live. I wouldn't trade my days of watching them play venues in Birmingham, AL for anything!! Damon, u &the guys ROCK!!! Kudos 2u all!!
Sabu - completely agree!!! Like Raging Slab, Maggie's Dream, Cry Of Love, Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies..........., These guys, and more.... Sigh. Anyways, this song's great, and a sweet live version indeed.... Cheers!
man i miss the good times i had listening to the song in the 90's. awesome music like this is just a memory now because of all the bullshit music that is out today. first heard this in halloween 6 which was a kickass movie
I have been looking for this fucking song for over 10 yrs. I remember hearing it at age 13 back in 94, and have heard it in my head for years and years and its frustrated the piss out of me, now i know the artists. fuck yaaaaaaa!!! This type of music needs to come back. I thought for yrs it was soundgarden B-side.
Me too.I thought it was pearl jam for ages because i only heard it in the film Halloween 6.I am sooo glad i now know who it is and can go and buy it.This music ROCKS!!
These guys hooked up with some Queensryche band members and formed slave to the system. You should check it out, I can't find the shit on here though.
Damon has a great voice and musical talent out both wazoos.
It seems like every band he's in sounds fantastic. His current band is a country band called "Whiskey Falls". Add that to his resume that includes Brother Cane, Red Halo, The Welfare (the world's greatest bar band), Slave to the System, and God only knows how many other bands...
I've always loved this song, I rememeber it took me forever to find the name of the band, and i finally found it. Listened to it for like 3 straight days. Great band! God I miss the 90's thats when music was legit
One of the best rock songs of the 90's, bar none. Brother Cane were bad f'n ass - another great band buried by the bullshit avalanche that is the American music industry.
hey if you guys like brother cane and their wishpool album just click my name and watch my video about brother cane i have an autographed wishpool album that im goin to sell
Brother Cane is the best thing Damon has ever done, his new stuff just plain sucks...period. It is pure shit. Seeds and Wishpool were life changing records for me.
Where is their video to "Lie in the Bed I Make"? that is an awesome somg, more so than this, and I saw the video on Headbangers Ball, so it should exist somewhere out here.
Damon is playing guitar now for Alice Cooper, had the pleasure of catching a show last fall. DJ is still in fine form, a truly amazing guitarist. Very sad Brother Cane never caught on the way they deserved to, they had some killer tunes back in the 90's, way better than a lot of the shit that got all the attention!
I need to say it. Alice in chains sounded like this. Man in the box has the same groove on the rythm guitar, maybe it's the same note. And also has the same backing vocals stile. This is a great song, I'm just wondering if Alice in Chains was that original I used to think.
I haven't heard this song in years, but now all I hear is a song that could be played by Alice in Chains, but I feel that Brother Cane came first.
Dude......are you sure that is the real Brother Cane?
It sure doesn't look like the band I met. Check out my Brother Cane video doing this song accustically. The real band that recorded the song "Fools Shine On"
Was it back in '93 or 94??? this song OWNED my brain for a good while! I used to walk around my house singing it. YOU know how it is! Awesome song by an awesome band. Crap...I'm probly gonna get my heas stuck on this tune again...better shut the doors and windows I guess.
