  • silent movie!

  • Shut Up!

  • this is just genious!!! haahahah

  • Neat idea, wumingfoundation - watch a movie noted for its dialogue, but without the words.

This video shows that there are still dynamic performances here even without words.

  • love it... GREAT!!!!! love roz too...

  • Shooting Rosalind Russell was amazing in ths movie I Am sadden...LOL..Just kidding...Please dont hate me...:D

  • wow, that is just... several kinds of impressive.

  • I tried to watch the real film, but couldnt cope with the lead female. So you've done me a favour. Perhaps it wasnt the best idea to try and watch 'His Girl Friday' straight after 'Bringing Up Baby'.

  • Only 8:25 without talking, heh.

  • fantastic

  • HELLO?!? did you not read the subtitle of this clip, its called "Between The Lines Edit"

my god the amount of word to edit out the lines, i cant image. his gal friday is so famous for its dialoge, i never dreamed it could be done without words and still entertaining! its like you have boiled it down to the skeleton of the work and its a jolly roger of a skeleton..lol. great job!

  • You are GREAT! I rated it awesome!

  • Thanks, this was a very clever idea. It's a perfect example of how silence can be golden. One of the great films of our times, and thanks for showing us what all can be hidden between the lines. Well done.

  • this should be shown in an acting class somewhere.

  • magnificent - ingenious - and hilarious

    charles ranalli

  • fabulous job. Terrific idea. How'd ya happen to think of doing this?

  • I really liked this concept. Great job.

  • Sweet. All the talk in that movie...and the silence only adds up to eight and a half minutes. Wow. Excellent job; I love how you got all of Cary's random noises he makes. :)

  • lol yea

  • Clever and enjoyable to watch! One of Rosalind Russell's many gifts as an accomplished actress was her ability to act by not only words but by using great body language and amazing facial expressions. Your video highlights that ability!

  • This was brilliant! I LOVED it!

  • My, my, my, my, my. How clever.

[No really: genius, haha. I love this movie.]

  • Your video clip is great and I've rated it as awesome. I've done another clip on some old cigarette cards of 1930's movie stars: Cary Grant, Joan Crawford, Gary Cooper, Joan Crawford, Fay Wray from King Kong, Bing Crosby, Kay Francis and many more.

  • Now I understand why this film is so renowned for its brilliant dialogue.

  • All I could keep thinking throughout this was the social scientist repeating 55 percent of communication is nonverbal.

  • This is strangely sexy.

  • Mock turtle. (The dialogue is the best part.)

  • God, I just saw this film at the Museum of Modern Art in NY a couple of weeks ago and this is such a brilliant idea. Don't know how well it'd work with any other film, but this is wonderful.

  • Nice editing.

  • Certainly confusing, but I wouldn't call it dull. I find it engaging, to tell the truth :-)

  • Omgosh that is funny! I tell you what it makes one dull and confusing movie if it was made like that!
