I might accept the story from police had the security guard been in plain cloths. However, as he's wrestling with the suspect beside the car at 0:26 in the video, you can clearly see arm patches and similar on the uniform he was wearing. The cops were entirely wrong in this instance and they should extend a full apology.

1) The cashier should be out there helping or at least told the dispatchers that there was a security guard outside so that info can be relayed to the responding officers 2) The Security Guard needs to wear patches or a badge identifying himself instead of just wearing all black clothing.

he could have been on loss prevention/undercover, we wear civvys when in that role (so no uniform, so we can sneak up on theifs, they dont care so much when a civvy is looking), fucking racism.

I can see how the tasering would've happened. I just have a problem with how the suspect was let free to go right away. The security guard barely even hit the ground when the other person was let free to go - at least they caught up to his ass.
