  • Can you use thinned acrylics? I got at least twelve of these things I half to weather and I do not have time to brush weather each car. I want to airbrush weather them...

  • Thanks, simple and effective, just what a beginner needs

  • The music sucks really bad and loud...

  • How much PSI do you use with your airbrush? My dads air compresser goes up to i think like 200 PSI

  • I would just roll my trains in the yard and call it good :P

  • That was pretty good! Why didn't you dullcote the entire car though?

  • @prorobo prototype Bath gon's that are new from the factory are shinny and Athearn made them the same. It would kill the look of this type of car using dullcoat plus there is no need sense it is paint being airbrushed on. Using power/chalks would be a different story and would have to use a dullcoat but with flashy aluminum side's I wouldn't dare use dullcoat.

  • Don't you need a spray booth or some type of ventilation??

  • I have a spraybooth, but it's not good for filming, so normaly i use the booth.

  • Please tell me who makes those hopper cars.

    Ty

  • Hi Frank. Athearn RTR makes thise cars.

  • Very simple explanation. Thanks.

  • ...very helpful video. BTW, what song is that?

  • Peter come on how much longer u going to keep us waiting 4 another weathering video. HAHA

Hope you and your family are doing well.

  • Thanks

  • Ive been wanting a air brush. What kind would be the best 4 some1 starting out.

  • The one I use is a Hansa double action(Means you control both airflow and paintflow with the same trigger), whith 0,2mm tip, and cup on top. this is my first airbrush, and I would by the same next time.

I don't know if you can get the same brand, but look for something that easy to clean.

  • I use a Crescendo-175 double action airbrush, & a Badger air compressor.

I mostly use mine for weathering, but I'm sure most any high quality double action airbrushes would work.

  • very nice.. thanks!!!

  • Great tutorial you found my best weathering tecnique! I will show you a video of them when I can run them!

  • sorry, i hit the post comment 4 times because I thought it wasn't working. A+ vid!

hvor køber du det airbrush thinner henne.

  • Hej. Jjeg har købt min Hansa airbrush hos Tutein og Koch, men der er mange modelbutikker som har forskellige.

Airbrush thinner har jeg købt hos Stoppel på Frederiksberg.

  • Might wanna wear gloves, so you won't have any figure print marks when you paint. The paint will fill in the marks like you had your finger stamped. Other than that, its a good basic way to weather a coal car. A++++

  • Very true, before i weather i always wash my cars with soap and water and let them dry over night.

  • Super video.

  • Well done both of you
