this is AMAZING, I bet the majority of the scenes ware shot with 7D, some of that DOF is just impossible to get with HV40

Actually, around 40% of the video was shot with the HV40. You can get amazing DOF with the HV40, even without a lens adapter.

Yet; mainstream music vids are shot with Mitchell, Arriflex, Panavision, etc. to produce images of this caliber. Related shooting budgets are one to five million, with full crews and union sets.

My point being; keep up this level of work using whatever gear and before long, LA suits are gonna-come-a-knockin. And I'm certain as chest-clinching vapor lock the latter will eventually happen!

...Cream rises, as they say. :D

Hey, thank you! I slowed it down to .4 If you're using 7D then .4 works perfect. If you're using another camera I'm not too sure about that.

Thank you! It depends on how much footage and the ambition of the project. My last video (the ballet one) took a day or so to edit. This one took a few days.

Hey great video! Just wondering, on your HV40 do you have this strange issue where the tape casing area is slightly loose?

Yeah, that's "normal". I was a little freaked out about it at first, but realized that they all come like that...or so I've heard. Hey, if you lightly shake the camera does it sound like something is loose inside? From the day I bought mine it sounds like there is a heavy piece of something floating around inside. :/

I have got the same problem! Actually I took screwdriver and screwed some "bolts" on cassette holder part, and the sound disappeared.

Yeah mine soes that to, im pretty sure that its the battery pack moving around.

I tested the battery pack and all other possible external areas for it, and it's definitely coming from within.
