  • amazing

  • Niiiice time lapse. Sweet.

  • Man, and here I thought it was a much more automated process. :o

  • That's pretty rad dude. Just remember to supply fighter jet helms with oxygen masks to the pilots before anyone pilots one. Important. :)

  • @ michael747400 Typical answer of Super Bug fans. Sorry but fancy avionics alone dont make a combat aircraft.

  • @lonewolf0281 mate point is as good as the f111 is, its old, spare parts are thin and its geting to expensive to maintain.... the super hornet is a damn fine aircraft, you can not argue that, we already have alot of experience with the hornet airframe so its not going to be expencive in terms of money or retraining ground crew... in the end it all comes down to money.

  • If the Super Hornet would have been a bit faster, maybe mach 2.0, then it would have been a good choice by the RAAF.

  • Amazing!!!!!!!

  • A shame the RAAF is replacing the mighty F-111 with this lousy aircraft. The Super Whorenet just doesnt seem up to the task. It is slower, has a shorter range and a smaller payload. Hardly an ideal replacement...

  • @lonewolf0281 errr... actually just because the physical performance is not as good as the F-111 doesnt mean it cant be a good replacement. what many people tend to forget is that the super hornet has way better avionic than many military aircraft around the world including the F-111 its replacing and all the russian flanker, which has higher chance of winning in a battle.since the super hornet can detect the flankers much more earlier than the flankers and has higher chance of destroying it.

  • Ha, You guys are lucky :) I was born in australia but now i'm living in Poland, i was thinking about the RAAF but i think i need to finish school in australia in order to look forward to this job? I would appreciate if someone would message me ;)

  • i sure hope one day i could fly that plane. im still unaure of how to sign up. im in year 11 could anyone give me a link to how i can sign up?

  • That is how it's meant to be doen, lol.

  • my dream is to fly one of these things when i graduate out of school. still in grade 9 and along way to go. but im still holding on to my dream.

  • i still go to parties to have a good time. just i think wise by not drinking alchohol, smoking or taking drugs. but thanks for advice!

  • you sound like you have a head for it, I dont mean to know everything but I fucked up fucked up big time and I wish I could LIve it all over again best of luck for the future

  • haha cheers, man if this job is still your dream. just go uni, life would never feel better if you accomplish a dream. the only way you cant do this is if you have a criminal record or taken any type of illeagul drugs.

  • You and me got the same future.

I dream to be a Airline Pilot for my National Carrier, Singapore Airlines.

And you, wanna be a fighter pilot.

Tough times, Tough obstacles, and I am still holding on my dream.Well, I have short time now, gonna take my first requirement for SIA, taking my O levels.

Anyway, All luck to you, Hope to see you flying in some years ahead! :D

  • haha nice man... im even thinking of skipping schoolies. i dont wanna get a criminal record and etc. but good look for the up comeing future!!!

  • You can't be too tall, too short, too fat, or have hay fever or asthma. You must also pass their crazy tests that involve lots of maths.

  • glahh, im 1m72cm tall at 14 years of age weigh 54kg but thats muscle not fat =/ and i get a bit of hay fever but thats usually just after the mowers have cut the grass before footy training... and ok at math, all that kay?

  • sounds ok, 54 kilo aint overweight. im 15 also want to be a fighter pilot. u need to pass yr 12 and hsc in tertiary degree english and maths. and if u didnt do a science subject b4 u need to do 2 of em. if ur alrit at math that should be ok, there looking for leader ship skills, good attitude, and all the other things that make peopl great. its good to be smart but theres things more important than that.

  • btw hows ur fitness?minimum requirements are 20 push ups, 25 sit ups, 3 km in 7-15 mins for a 20 yo male. its sumthign like that, look it up. get ready for da training its desgined to reform u and break u up lol

  • well push ups and sit ups are no problemb because im a AFL player. im a good sprinter but really bad at doing cross country or long runs. as i get older ill be wanting to go for jogs in the monring so that will be all k.

  • you need to be better than "ok" at maths.

  • well atm im learning tan, sin, con, pythagorous (spelling?) and etc. Im finding my self quite confident with all of it. do you know what type of math you do for this?

  • Don't listen to people who just assume things. I've been through the application process, and you definitely don't need to be a maths genius. You need to be able to work out fairly complex problems fast, but there's not a lot of it during the testing. It's all about your attention to detail, and the speed at which you work.

Also, people talking about weight - weight doesn't matter, BMI does. From memory, hayfever isn't a medical condition which they reject you for either.

  • but u do get a calculater thats at least what i heard

  • super quick not need half years

  • Great insight???? lots of people running around, quick scenes?? Looks great yes gotta admit, enlist in a related trade and you might get a good insight on what's involved.

  • Brilliant video, always wanted to see a video of an aircraft production line, only part that dissapointed me was the lack of coverage of the rest of the hull, but then again most of it is just empty with the engines taking up most of the room.

  • how long it takes to build one aircraft?

  • 3min 32 seconds

  • Hahaha, good answer!

  • classic

  • i certainly hope that i just watched the construction of my future office

  • amen

  • +1.

  • This video is unbelievabley useful, giving a great insight into whats involved when constructing an aircraft. 5 stars.
