Reliability? There are american cars with just as many miles as japanese cars and they still run strong. The only problems ive seen with american cars are from the newly introduced 90's econocars. When they were new, there were minor problems that needed to be worked out. Then again any new car will have some bugs that will later be worked out in the next gen.

when cars are dyno tested, they are put in a gear that gives a 1:1 ratio of the wheels to the crank

so for a Mark 4 supra, a 5sp would be 4th gear and a 6sp would be 5th gear...not 3rd
