some help please, i am abouth to receive this plane from hobbyking, i will put a better and stronger brushless, but now i am sacared because all i read about is tipstall, how can it be prevented? did i get it write and i should never do slow turns with nose up?
Classic tip stall. when elavator was applied it snapped, thats the way to write off those type of planes.better luck next time.put it down to experience.
Yes, funny how ALL radio systems fail just at the time the pilot slows the plane at a nose high attitude. Then the radio even gets worse just after that- the elevator mysteriously goes to full up and puts the plane into a violent spin. SORRY man. Keep the nose DOWN in slow turns!
I fly a texan (graupner) with a DX7 for nearly a year now, never had any problem with the radio. On an another hand the texan needs speed, as ATISRCG said it hates slow speeds. Try to check your receiver installation in the plane, you need to have 90° beetween the 2 Antennas. Peace.
I had the same problem with my DX7. I lost three planes whichsimply became unresponsive. Eventually I sent my radio back to Horizon Hobby to have the module reset. It has been fine since altough I was anoyed that they never admitted that there was a fault. Now I always range check at the beginning of each day (something which I never did before). Hope this helps, Matt.

That's a shame. I'm not yet sold on Spektrum. I still use a JR 7202 & 6102. BTW, I'm from Concord NC. (just north of Charlotte)

It seems just like a flight with to low speed and to high angle of attack. A normal tipstall??
