If you use a helmet you could always stick it on that ;-) Another possibility is the sun visor. If you can pull up the headrests on the seat you could strap it to the bars of the headrest or strap some wood across the posts so the wood pokes out to one side and mount it on that so its more central in the car.
Got mine from Gadget Express seller on amazon for £49.99 + p&p came to £53.50 all in I think.
I mounted it on the style bar (non functional roll bar) behind the passenger seat. The camera comes with a couple of clips and straps to sttach it to various things. I bought the extreme sports pack too but theres not a lot of extra fitments in it. Maybe your rear view mirror would be a good place to attach it? I'm thinking of getting a suction cup to attach it externally. Other options are to the grill maybe?

not a bad little vid, just ordered one of these for my punto gt turbo, where would you reccomend mounting and how did you mount it?
