  • bass drops... head nods....

  • I can't think of many Dilla songs outside of the Jaylib stuff that had Jay Dee rapping on it, at all.

  • why would someone say that this isn't a Jay Dee beat? He's on the hook, for Christ's sake.

  • the one & only, deepest bahama D D

  • where do you all get these stories from J D was mad at Tip? If he were mad or even worried about it why did he let so many of Tribe Called Qwest singles go out as The Ummah opposed to saying he did it.. He wasn't worried about status.. and he did do this track if you need validation ask Dj Dez or Dj Houseshoes on this site or Facebook we all knew the man. don't make bs assumptions seriously. TURN IT Up

  • Its a shame that more people know Lil' Kim, Foxy Brown, and those other tricks, but have never heard of Bahamadia.

  • For all those who don't know better: J Dilla produces this beat !!! His touch can be recognized....Keep it real !!

  • dis sounds like a JDilla jumpoff... I could be wrong. Anyways, I luv dis trak. Sux tha East Coast ain't pickin up on shit like dis anymore. Well, as a Bronx native; I totally approve of dis! NYC still looks fa Bahamadia!!!

  • no, u r not wrong, dilla indeed

  • Word...

Mz. Bahamadia is one of the Best Ever!

Thank God, the Los Angeles based record labels, Good vibe and Koch picked her up (after EMI used her talents)...

Anyway, she needs to return very soon!

    We miss her!

  • Most of my favorite artists are from Philly. And Bahamadia is at the top 5. It sux that she hasn't put out a new album. BB Queen is hot...but I wish it were longer. I hate when I get left wanting more.

  • This is my shit back in da day I worked in tha Rasta shop Los Angeles and would bump this Wu tang Ras Kas

  • fuckin insane,

    shits da bomb baby!~~

  • badest female EVER ! big up sister !!!!!!!

  • this cut is one of my fav dilla productions...and bahamadia on top....pppfffff....toooo smooth and funky4me

  • dilla didnt produce this he did the remix

  • This joint is fire man.i'd luv to play every morning to pump me up for the day.

  • Bahamadia the wonderfull music! I Very Love the Bahamadia Music! One FAN!

  • TUNE!

  • baatin* oops haha spelt it wrong

  • its not a ron e production..this is a dilla original. and its elzhi and batiin with the hook. t3 has a werid voice for hooks come to think of it i havent really even heard him on any slum tracks in a hook...just mostly batiin and elzhi

  • dilla didnt produce it dilla did the remix

  • actually, he produced both versions.

  • I stand corrected, this was produced by Ron Estill, pardon the mix up.

  • its all good fam it does sound like a dilla joint though

  • dilla is on it...you're right...

  • actually it's just a dilla vocal sample, it's not produced by jay dee

  • @drmad21 its produced by jay dee. jrocc put this in his jdilla tribute volume four and all of the tracks in those are produced by dilla

  • Listed as being produced by Ron "Ron E."Estill on Vinyl LP and CD Liner notes. SV on the Hook.

  • @djkaseone yeah I dont think dilla produced this.. I know he produced the remix..

  • @wsdot6kid Ron "Ron E." Estill produced this actually.

  • @steeltownbrown52 right Ron Estill produced this although it sounds Dilla-ish. man it's funky. i wish i had the instrumental.

  • @svendiamond i got the instrumental ill upload it on my channel darkhoodsproductions

  • @svendiamond :)

  • @steeltownbrown52 - Slum Village managers, Ron Estill and Tim Maynor. So Dilla was under this beat, trust me.

  • @seboufdu59 *sigh* We got another one. So if Dilla did this, why would he give someone else the credit?

  • @steeltownbrown52 - Like 'Got till it's gone' of J. Jackson, he don't need it.

  • @seboufdu59 That's Q Tip tho,no one knew of Dilla then(and I've heard that he didn't like Tip taking the cred on that). By this time(2000), more people knew who Dilla was. If Dilla felt he should have given the credit to someone else on every other song he's composed, then we wouldn't be having this discussion.

  • @steeltownbrown52 - Then i guess, he's not your favorite.

  • @seboufdu59 I still love J Dilla tho(mid-late 90's and early 2000s work mostly), got a chance to meet Maureen Ma Dukes Yancey last February. Just tired of seeing stubborn Dilla fans thinking he produced every single thing that TCQ,De La Soul,Slum Village, etc. have ever recorded.

  • you're right man it was produced by Jay he was heavy in the okayplayer camp around that time. Its funny people are on the internet and still never thought to look at his discography on the Stones Throw site for starters. Also don't let line notes catch you...Tupacs' Sucka for Love was a J Dee beat that was stolen...same as when his credit was only noted for one track on the Janet Jackson and Q Tip joint...when in actuality he did both.

  • @drkfada Seriously ? One for Love ??

  • @clutchyhopkinz The reason I'm guessing why J Rocc put this on his tribute is cause Dilla did the hook(along with the rest of SV). There are a lot of stubborn and ignorant Dilla fans out there. Watch, I bet now they're saying the he produced Midnight Marauders to. Sheesh.

  • @drmad21 This was produced by dilla lol

  • "Ain't no wallflowers up in this piece posted up!"

That line alone by Bahamadia was pure slickness....gotta love it. She's got that rapid fire flow you hardly hear from cats these days. On top of that, she makes a whole lotta God damn sense.

    REAL TALK!

  • I love this song and album. If you like music, you'll search for it. I'm not salty they don't play this on the radio. Wherever good music is, I'll follow. With or without Clear channel's permission.

  • HELL YEAH!!

  • I'm luvin this joint.........flo smooth

  • mind blowin! wow! this girl deserved more den what she recieved as far as her career!

  • One of the ILLEST,SLEPT ON MCs OF ALL TIME SON!

  • no doubt...Bahamadia is probably the most slept on female mc of all time..in fact, aint too many fellas can flow like her either...she is the illest!!

  • Amen.......couldn't have said it better myself!

  • @khoury1600 SO FUCKIN TRUE!

  • THIS IS REAL MUSIC!!!!

  • This was so hot back in the day. I hate the shit that is getting constant radio play these days.

  • @Debutante24 This is hip hop...today's shit is rap....rap is whack.

  • @Debutante24 That's a WERD, on the note of this track, i must admit I think the J. Dee mix has a more brutal edge to it, but hey, it's all good in Bahamadia's hood. Peace.

  • the best! but so underrated!

  • woooooooooooooooo! (hands raised)!

  • GREATNESS...

  • J DILLA !

  • Dilla is on the hook with t3 and baatin, but Ron E. produced it (if i'm not mistaken)

  • Dilla remixed it and made it even sound better

  • gggggyeahhhh!!!!!!

  • this joint is FIRE!

  • This song need no words to praise it but i figured id post anyways :-)
