  • indeed bass is fat and groovy but out of tune as hell. great song anyway. love the aggrolites

  • Phat bass !

  • @zzbeez fuck yeah!

  • genial

  • i light up in there bus with my peeps from lionize... now they know that marylands got that dank kush too :)

  • I saw these guys at their first show... They opened for Derrick Morgan as the rough and tough allstars and they played a bunch of Lee Perry covers and it sounded great. They did a great job backing him as well... Then I have to admit I didn't like em for their earlier years. Pop the trunk was a deal breaker. But they've gotten much better over time. Now I like them as a band and they represent LA so.... Congrats Aggrolites on all your successes!

  • the aggrolites sound great live!

  • It's cool when a band loves the music they play! ......No corporate America here.

  • he looks drunk

  • Ahhhh love the Aggrolites, keep ska real!!!!

  • dope!

  • flame on, children.

  • @mykeyaccident you're a arrogant bastard if you can't agree that his bass is not in tune. Still a great fucking song, just would be near perfect with a tuned bass. edude29 i can't stand when people can't hear a note that is out of tune... i guess i'm thankful i'm not as dumb or deaf as people like them.

    AGGRO4LIFE.

  • saw them when they opened fro social D...not all too great

  • yo awesome song butthat guys bass is way out of tune or everyone else is

  • @edude29 You're such a retard- how is it out of tune?!

  • @DrumGoddessIwish i'm the retard? you're hte "drum goddess" i wouldnt expect a drummer to know anything about pitch aha and why the hate i said its a bad ass song its just a lot of these live videos the bass sounds out of tune, at least on my laptop speakers

  • @edude29 that proves you're a moron.GOOD DAY!

  • @mykeyaccident im near pitch perfect, you're the moron my friend. his bass is a little off key, it bothers me, because as i mentioned im near pitch perfect, and the context of other notes only proves it. I LOVE THE AGGROLITES his bass is just out of tune i was just making an observation, if you asked the bass player or anyone else in the band they'd probably agree with me.

  • @mykeyaccident oh and GOOD DAY

  • serious soul

  • GOOOOOOOD SOOOONNNNG

  • Nobody is doing what these guys are doing. Keep up the good work boys!

  • One of their best songs. Such a an amazing live band I must say, Saw them in SF twice.

  • kinda sounds like westbound train....a little..

  • White boys with Soul

  • what kind of organ is that :-/ i can't figure it out

  • @evanparker Pretty sure it's a Vox or Hammond M3... It's a chop and if you look in LA's Craigslist music section... the dude that built an organ or two for Roger (from the Aggros), can be easily found. He sells Hammond Organs and posts a lot of ads. Search for Hammond Organ... and you'll see his ads. If you email him, he'll probably email you back with specifics on the organ. Cheers

  • just a great band...

  • they played with dropkick... enough said I'm done! good comparison asshole!

  • Agreed! I saw them open for Flogging Molly in FLA, had no clue who they were. Played the first few tunes and was upset they had to give up the stage.

  • saw them last night in vancouver, SO GOOD LIVE! you love them

  • Me too! SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • SO FUCKING GOOD LIVE!

  • what ' s the problem it's fucking good band !! ska rock steady early reggae !!! what does it means !! it only soul who rules!!!!!!!

  • i love this song!

  • happenin with the bass?

  • its a little sharp

  • i've seen them last weekend twice in Sao Paulo.

    fucking good.

  • i saw them support rancid last year, loved every second of it, such a good band

  • saw them open twice for dropkick murphys about 2 years ago, very good live

  • Its purely a Ska track, judging by the off beat, timing and tone of the full song. Rocksteady has a much slower almost mellow edge to it.

The only reason of not thinking it was ska, would be if you associate ska, purely with 2 tone etc....

None the less a fantastic track, worthy of a thumbs up. Sounds 40 years old, not 2 or 3!

  • its not ska. its early reggae/skinhead reggae. not that it really matters...

but no, this is technically NOT a ska song.

  • Early reggae IS Ska. Ska is the precursor to reggae.. but IMO they are more rocksteady..

    Whatever it doesn't matter!

    Aggrolites ftw

  • seen em last year in NYC.

    Dirty Reggae!

  • Seen them live. They were pretty OK but some of the songs wernt as good. But tbh they are a pretty good band.

  • I'm not really taking it personally. I'm just not waiting for a know-it-all who feels the need to correct me when all I want to do is point out that I enjoy some band's music; which we obviously both do, right?

And when the lead singer clearly shouts 'COme on Ska!' on an album opener; I call it ska too.....simple as that.

Let's agree this band is awesome, regardless what their style is called.

  • man therr heck a good

  • HEEEEY HEEEY *sings Mr misery*

ya sweet smooth groovy Aggrolites are sweet ass moosic, *dances*

*bunces up and down I love this sound man yea I gunna larn al lthere songs on bassy poo

sooooo cool^^ hot as hell got three albums of aggrolitres ^^ woop

  • say all chit you want but these guys are fucking awsome it might be you that dont enjoy the fact that is a reggae soulful rocksteady sound but your just full of chit ...

  • this band flat out sucks, I saw them open for Flogging Molly in Orlando on the 5th, I nearly left the concert before FM came out, I mean this shit is bad.

  • okay they play reggae; happy now?

thank you for being such a musical genius; you've enlightened me!! I never knew that this band doesn't play ska; can you please forgive, please?!

  • ill agree with u spindoctor, and im sure abeytube will talk some crap say i know nothing about what im talking about, its all good. abeytube probably thinks ska came from reggae

  • such a great authentic sound!

really one of the best ska-acts nowadays.

  • Reggae drumming is the fucking jams man. Love it.

  • theres a song called" miss misery."

    haha

    by elliott smith..

  • badn members are different in this live performance..any body know why? ?

  • This guy can SING

  • Maybe it stands somewhere on a playlist. I'm searching on it to. Good luck with find.

  • fucking great

  • chill

  • firstly reggae comes from ska...not the other way round...do ur homework. and the bass players bass is outta tune for that song. love the aggrolites tho.

  • exactly ska started in jamaica and had jazz and blues influence. The rasta's took ska and mixed religon and we have reggae

  • thank you for having a pair of working ears too!

  • heard of the the aggrolites through a member of the rough kutz (a british ska/skin band) and i thought id check em out on here.AND WHAT A BAND THEY ARE!!! luckily they are touring the u.k. and i managed to get two tickets off ebay to see them supporting rancid in birmingham on the 11th nov woohoo!!!give it some boys..how refreshing!!!

  • So do I... You wouldn't be the first who play untuned.Who cares??? It happens sometimes! AGGROLITES remains an incredible band and the bass player plays really nice bass lines!

  • awesome band!!!

  • Spain is with The Aggrolites. When are you going to come here?

  • awsome song

  • Remove the ear plugs you seem to have kept in your ear... Maybe you dont' know how a bass sounds!

  • dear one:) i play on base:D

  • there just the best i love it all the ska the reggae its all fukin awesome

  • too bad that the bass is not tuned correctly...

  • i want to fucking know how did zou found out:D you can hardly hear the bass so i donw know what you on

  • who cares if there reggae or ska, they rule!

    enough said

  • had fun with these guys at warped tour this year. luv them

  • They aren't a patch on Peter André

  • THIS is GOOD SOUND.

  • You gotta love the organ!

  • These guys know how to throw a Reggae party!!!!!!!!!!

  • ska was one of the earliest forms of reggae which originated from jamaica...mod ska came from the jamaican influnce of immagrants in britain. punk/ska/reggae..its all gud music!

  • ska is not a form of reggae. Ska influenced reggae, but they are two different types of music, but are influenced by the same sounds.

  • isn't it the other way around?

  • no. raggae came from ska.

  • right right this is right

  • ska came from blues and calypso, reggae came from ska and r&b

  • wrong. other way round

  • Ska came from the fusion of the off-beat in jazz with the us r n'b of the 50's, together with jamaican music of the 50's ie mento and calypso. It slowed down around 1967 with the hot summer to become briefly rocksteady. Skinhead reggae followed up to around '69 / 70 wherupon reggae took over. Dub (remixes) of reggae and rocksteady tracks using DJ 'toasters' like Uroy was the final phase of the reggae revolution of the '70s. The rest is, as they say, history. Sorry, I went on a bit there.

  • i think they consider themselves reggae, DIRTY REGGAE.

even though i know they love ska but the sound is more reggae skinhead reggae (organ)

    cool cats.

remember seing them a lot few yeas back.

  • They are not a ska band, but rather taking what is considered "early reggae" or skinhead reggae and putting a faster beat to it. These lads know their Jamaican music. They all have played in bands in LA before this--mostly ska bands, because ska got big in LA for a long while. If i was to categorize them, though, it wud be funk/reggae.

  • Actually, romasflame, reggae has incorporated blues and soul since the 50's. It's that style that the original mods and skinheads listened too. They were black AND white. Ska also came from this eventually.

  • are you serious?

you realise ska was the precursor to reggae? it's disgusting how misinformed some of you are. reggae wasn't even around in the 50s.

  • im gna see them live!! <3

  • it's not punk you idiot, it's called reggae. They are really good, too... probably one of the few that incorporate soul. If anything the worst days for music were when they decided to make death metal, acid jazz, and justin timberlake...yes, they made justin timberlake lol. But seriously, The aggrolites are amazing you should listen to their others stuff before discrediting them.

  • lol death metal. Hey, if you don't like this song, who cares? I'd rather not read your negative opinions everywhere, kthnxbai.

  • Dude. Death Metal takes shit for talent. all you do is turn the distortion all the way up and repeatedly strum the same note very fast.

  • Talent? Nah. Skill? To a certain extent. I will admit that it's really hard to play guitar solos/riffs fast, or drum fast while playing it clean, but that doesn't make you good. First off, as romasflame said, this is reggae, and lots of people like it. And if you don't, then don't waste your time searching for it on YouTube and trying to get a rise out of people by saying negative things.

  • First off, you fucking fail calling the Aggrolites punk. They are totally a reggae band. Second of all, Punk isn't dead.

  • Who is all in the aggrolites?

  • check the epitaph website

their names escape me at the moment, but its on the site

  • love these guys!

  • RIP Dave Fuentes...

  • yea they do have a black drummer i no him his name is corey horn he has a sister named summer horn :). my friends are good friends with the aggrolites. They live in Murrieta and are Jehovah's Wittness's like me. They go to the Togalog congergation. Its pretty cool :) nice ppl

  • my buddy's know em too. korey is a pretty cool dude, i hung out with him for a bit after the show here in AZ. i love how they play old school reggae for an oncore

  • actually korey is married to summer horn

    haa

    korey is my cousin

    =] ha thats funny though

  • tune bass please!

  • damn the bass is sharp.

  • i thought they had a black drummer

  • so did i...

  • Pretty sure he's Puerto Rican......regardless, reggae is colorblind.

  • They do..He is just in make-up in this video..LOL

  • Korey was in the original line up. Scott(white drummer) came in for the "The Aggrolites" self title album (red album) and Korey came back. Personally, I prefer Scott's drum style. Scott has more of a "traditional skinhead reggae" 60's style, whereas Korey has a bit more 70s funk influence.

  • yeah the bass sounds funky, but i think its actually the sound quality of the video, its just not picking up the low ends of the spectrum like our ears would if we saw it live. i dont think its out of tune though. sweet video, it seems old now though, THEYRE COMIN TO CLEVELAND! whoo!

  • Yeah, Youtube's Codec (like any Codec) gets rid of the highs and lows of both the video and audio while also removing any redundancies in both. But for whatever reason people don't bitch about the video because its expected to be sub-par if its on the web. Says something about their ear if this comes as a surprise.

  • Saw them last night in San Francisco at the Raggamuffin festival they ROCKED the house!! The music and videos online don't do them justice. they're AWESOME live!! If you haven't seen them and get a chance to go see them. And for the idiot who thinks the bass is out of tune its NOT the bass its your ears....

  • haha from the way yall talk and argue yall shouldnt be listenin to SKA OR REGGEA, WE DONT NEED YOU!!! lol

  • are you serious? people are gettin bent over this?

  • the bass is way out, tonto!

  • the bass is out of tune or am i really high?

  • neither...you're just a douche!

  • yo quit calling everyone a douche, he never said that they sucked he just said he was high.

  • yeah he was probly real high hahaha

  • hey are you really old? or are you from montana? who uses the word "douche" anymore?

  • now that i am sober. i really can tell it's way out of tune.

  • See them live-preferably in a small club. One of the best live acts around. Mad energy!

  • They need a singer.

  • It's awesome, I like it when a ska band decides it doesn't need horns. I like horns and all, but people act like you can't have ska without them.

  • Its more reggae then ska, but I see the point you're making.

  • To me Reggae and ska are two words for the same thing. I can't hear any significant differences between them.

  • Ska's normally more fast paced and usually dosen't have the organ as much as Reggae tends to. Just like Reggae dosent have as much horns as Ska does, but the basic idea is the same.

  • that's simply because you're a douche bag!

  • it's a reggae band, douche bag, not ska. don't you notice the organs? They're trying to do the old sounds from the mid-60s. what a noob! I bet you think "skankin' pickle" invented ska.

  • I love to listen to 1960s ska, I've never even heard of Skankin' Pickle. I believe Prince Buster invented ska, although it's debated. I just can't hear a significant difference between reggae and ska other than that modern ska is faster and has a punk influence. I'm not a musician myself so maybe there's other stuff in there I just don't notice. But it's good music so who cares what the genre is right?

  • if it's good music, it's fine by me. obviously all of us here like a good ska and reggae beat. i don't get why people gotta be all up-tight?

  • Check out my channel's v-logs. I go through the differences in detail. thanks

  • hot performance. Theyre aggro in his absolutely trveness.

  • y is j leaving?

  • ...he quit back in August 2007 (for personal reasons).

  • Scott Ables best drummer around!!

    Keep it Reggae!!

  • hes sick but i like korey kingston better with the aggrolites.
