If this douche bag isn't disqualified straight up then Channel 7s Australia's Got Talent has absolutely no credibility and I won't be watching it. Amazing that not only did the judges not spot the con but don't they thave a non-televised audition that checks people out before they go on TV. Ch7 really dropped the ball on this one.

@jacobdwyane ....What this guy did is NOT the same as someone singing someone else's song. When someone sings someone else's song, everyone knows it's not their song, and that they didn't write it. You also need a bit of singing talent to sing a song, cover or not. This guy tried to make out like he had written this material. Very niave to think the two things are the same.

It is stealing, for sure. He would have been better using joke-jokes, like 'an Englishman and Irishman' and all that. For some reason, maybe because they belong to the pre-60's working mans club scene, you can steal them more.
This guy, Jordan, thinks that a joke is like a song: its a good song, but talent shows are looking for good singers. But really its like he's pretending he wrote the song.

Stealing someone else's joke is like stealing for example, Harry Potter from JK Rowling and claiming it as your own. The 'delivery' shouldn't be the main factor into telling a joke, it should be the joke itself that makes people laugh. When I first saw this guy, I genuinely thought he was hilarious and the jokes were original. Well now, I'm hoping he gets disqualified and the other comedians with original jokes who had auditioned get an opportunity to be a contestant in the show.

It's kind of sad because I think he could have been a great actor or perhaps radio personality, but he held himself up as a 'writer' when he purported to be a stand up comedian. Part of Stand up is being an amazing writer. I cannot think of one stand up comic who has a writer.

@3axim well, there are plenty of stand up's who have writers, although they're becoming a rarity. Its usually if the stand up has a talk show or game show now or something. But those writers are paid well for it, and usually get credit at the end or in the pamplet or even in interviews.

@SirJarlsburg When a musician covers a song they and everyone else knows it's a cover and that they did not write the song. The song writers of the world get credit and royalties, that's why they don't get pissed about covers. This guy made out like he had written this material himself, that's why the people who did write it are pissed. Covering songs and ripping off a comedian’s material IS NOT the same thing.

It's fine if I cover Van Morrison and sing Brown Eyed Girl but I'm a douche bag if I cover Geoff Keith's "Girl Requirement" joke? Stupid. @SirJarlsburg there is no comparison between covering a song and covering a joke. covering a song takes real musical talent that is developed through constant practice over a number of years, often since childhood. all he's done is watch a comedian's performance on television, write it down and deliver it in a highly-exaggerated bogan accent. if he had any real comedic talent, he could've put his own spin on the jokes at the very least.

@SirJarlsburg other people do cover songs and also struggling artists play there fav. songs all the time but when you get a hit you are required to pay the original song writer money and acknowledge them. but comedians dont get the same respect for there joke writing if one struggling comic takes another stuggling comics joke and does it better those no money exchanged or proof he even wrote the joke i think thats why its such a touchy subject for comediens
