  • THIS VIDEO VERY VERY VERY MUCH IS BEAUTIFUL SONG CHOIR CAMBRIDGE CONGRATULACION .

  • Super su dječji zborovi diljem europe a ovo u hrvatskoj...

  • I love this song soo much! I wish I could sing this with a choir sometime!

  • Excelente

  • Compulsory cough at 0:01

  • テンポが速く、若々しい演奏ですね。

    すてきです。ありがとうございます。

  • i'm learnig this song at choir

  • How I adore the european-christian-artistic culture.

  • See the 2011 version on the channel of "spirtdei". The director must have read the comments about the pace in this 2010 performance and in 2011 slowed it down.

  • What a beautiful piece. What a beautiful voice. What a great Choir. Like it very much

  • :)))

  • i can't figure it out. does it change to f major from d major?

  • Sounds good, but the tempo is tooooo fast for this music from the great Mozart. I think because it's a religious, sacral music it should sing with bigger emphaty and calm. In addition its lyric also request the lower tempo. In this video it is curtailed of igy inner message.

  • The tempo's just fine IMO.

  • wonderful thanks

  • NIce, i had chills the whole time

  • what a pity one tenor really sticks out . ruins it. Not sticking out in a nice way either

  • @mtenor Must point out here that the men, like the boys, are "just passing through". The great college choirs, like the cathedral choirs, were once dominated by men of the town who could become lodged in a choir for 60 years. Those days have gone, and the men are all students. It may be the first time that most of these young men have learnt and performed this piece.

  • too fast

  • @vonspre I believe this is probably the tempo in Mozart's era. We've often mistaken the slower tempi from earlier days as "very" slow :P

  • emotivo...

  • Wonderful memories from when I sang in a choir back in the late 70's to 80's. You just don't see choir's like this anymore.

  • Sublime, that is the perfect word. Mozart says in two minutes what others could not say in hours. I think of Karl Barth's comment, paraphrase here, that when angels sing in praise of God, they sing Bach; but when they sing for their own joy, it's Mozart.

  • This short piece is truly sublime, one of those rare moments in art, like some of Vermeers paintings, where we glimpse a world more profound and beautiful than the present. What sort of a bloke must Mozart have been? and Vermeer for that matter.

  • effective tempo.

  • In my opinion, I don't find it too fast…

  • right tempo!!!

  • @MrConductor1984 there is a right tempo ?

mmh. how about a right feel. beautiful non the less.

  • @ANTONZANESCO it was of course a little bit provocative to post such an axiomatic comment.. but there are parameters like the emphases of the text (A-ve VE-rum COR-pus), that Mozart composed in an alla-breve (NOT for quarters) measure or the harmonic movement, that changes the harmony every bar etc. etc.

To feel the music is the most important thing, but to know something about it can substantiate your feelings and augment it with knowledge!

  • i loved the video tho

  • too fast!

  • @davlor86

I don't think so, we sing this in choir slower than this, most people do, and although it's beautiful sung slowly I actually think that a tempo like this is far more effective. But being Mozart it is good no matter what you do with it!

  • i sung this in choir i love this piece

  • Hier ist das Tempo zu schnell gewählt! - Das höchst andächtige Stück verliert an seinem Charakter! - Schade!

  • Pure beauty. Just pure heaven

  • Ave, ave verum corpus natum

    De Maria virgine

    Vere pasum inmolatum

    In cruce pro homine

    Cujus latus perforatum

    Fluxit aqua et sanguine

    Esto nobis praegustatum

    In mortis examine

    In mortis examine

  • Thanks so much as always! Please keep them coming!

  • Thanks for your splendid video
