Mike Bloomfield , Duane Allman, Jerry Garcia, & Harvey Mandel, are, to me, the four most influencial US electric lead guitarists of their generation. How odd, that Mandel, who's been at the forefront of phrasing & tone for as long as Jeff Beck has, & who's tone has been incorporated, (by way of effects pedals), into almost every player's sound, is now virtually unknown, even to most of those who imitate him!

Keep your eyes open for Harvey's latest project: An all-star band of musicians who played at Woodstock. I think it's actually called "Woodstock Reunion", but I haven't heard anything from a good source yet.
