The payroll tax cut is the most idiotic tax you could possibly cut. Why? Because it is costly and inefficient to implement, and it further depletes social security funds. Wasn't there just a big scare regarding social security becomming unavailable for current and future generations? I am all for cutting taxes, but what gives?

@ryandrums1001 because if we didn't have just one person who ultimately represents the nation's choices, the nation would never be able to make choices: we'd just constantly be bickering with each other, unable to help the people that need it and making the government unusable. That's also why checks and balances exist to limit the president's power.

It's the same thing every year about how they might have to work through the Christmas holiday. Never in my entire lifetime has that ever happened and I can assure you that it won't happen this year either. @wheresbrody Obama is thought, by some to be a man of intellect & high education. I see him as a typical lawyer ( not a compliment), whose early life was shaped by friends, family & forces not particularly friendly to what this nation was conceived to be. Nor to what it's become. my view, he is first & foremost concerned with himself & promoting his destructive social policies. I can't think of a more dangerous man that's ever been in his position of unparalleled power.
