The new testament is based on vicarious redemption...guilt blood. What a horrible thing to teach children, that even a god couldn't forgive his children, he had to spill blood to forgive the others instead of just forgiving them.

There is only one way to go to heaven and any other way will ensure the punishment of hell.

you need to acknowledge the you are a wretched sinner and ask Jesus to forgive you and accept his saving grace. Don't ignore God after repenting once. It is a life long journey that is so worth it in the end. In hell people are mad that they didn't see this and in heaven people are so glad that they kept up with it.
