  • I learned this song in elementary school, my second grade teacher sang this to us. It was always my favourite. She would make us say "Poor Ol' Charlie" after she sang "And his fate is unlearned."

  • Actually, the CMT never recorded THIS song. Rather, they did a wonderful version of a song with the same tune by the late Bob Gibson called "Super Skier."

  • God Lord, I grew up around the corner from this guy! Had no idea he had a major musical career, was simply looking for a performance of this specific song. Knew that a truly frightening nexus of world-class graphics artists arose from the corner of Fuller & Dexter in the '70s (Brian's brother Ted, along with my own brother Scott and Chris Bing), but had no idea the place had produced an important musician. Wow!
