  • Wow.

  • Gracias Dios por ser bueno con nosotros los pecadores y por tener mucha misericordia!!!!!!!

    thank you Lord!!!!!!!!

  • Gorgeously handled. Wow. Marvelously beautiful singing.

  • @DannyEastVillage Agreed, but pun intended...? ;)

  • @RWoosten truthfully, I didn't think of it till after I'd typed it--and considered changing it.

    But I didn't.

    ;)

  • 屠られた子羊、なんと荘重な音楽だろう。

    ヘンデル畢生の大作の掉尾を飾るにふさわしい名曲

  • I bow down for you, Lord. Thank You !

  • is there a God? well, the inspiration for The Messiah is real. Just listen and you will know. written 300 years ago and still sounding divinely inspired today. So now, is there a God?

  • @rustywires Yes!!

  • I really like the sound of this version. Maybe its because its a smaller chorus, and so more intimate.

  • The finishing note for the bass on amen makes me explode.

In a good way, of course.

  • Perfection! The right tempo and the voices are angelic. It transport one back to Hanoverian England.

  • @06131974 I wouldn't assume that the quality of singing in Hanoverian England would match this. In fact, from what else we know about the Georges, I'd almost wager otherwise.

  • I have not heretofore heard of the Cantillation Choir, Orchestra of the Antipodes, or Dir. Antony Walker; An internet search informs me that they are Sydney Austrailia based baroque outfit, using original instruments. They all do a first-rate job on this piece, comparable to John Elliot Gardiner and his ensemble, in interpretation and execution. Bravos all around, including to you, carosaxone, for posting this wonderful performance.

  • @blakley42 This is exactly the comment I would have written! Great performance.

So bad there is apparently no video of the 1982 recording of John Eliot Gardiner and Monteverdi Choir.

  • This is an excellent version that sjould be up in the ranking positions. The tempo is correct, the voices stand clearly, the sound is perfect and so is the pitch. Only that the violin and orchestra part at 7; is a little weak. But the performance is quite good. Thanks.

  • Who is this choir? Beautiful!

  • BRAVO to this choir!!!!

  • Thank you Jesus!!!

  • @fmason83 You should thank Händel, he composed the piece :-)

  • @Aeythvaenn Thanks mom

  • @magpie4321 händel isn't mom

  • @Aeythvaenn Thank THE Creator for creating Handel :)

  • @Shveti What or who is the 'creator'? Have you met the so called creator? Does it speak to you? Do you speak to it? What does it say? What are the properties of this so called creator? If you dont clarify yourself about what you are talking about it is utterly meaningless.

  • @Aeythvaenn The creaton = GOD !

  • @sacudidoajaca ...right, know any more meaningless statements? You have clarified exactly zero with that.

  • @sacudidoajaca No. He created ex nihilo, He is superior to creation:

"2 And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. 3 The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven."

  • And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. 3 The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven

    Heb 1:2-3

  • @Aeythvaenn God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.'" Ex 3:14. He is the only being who can claim to exist for himself, not caused by any other entity. He's the first cause for all other things to exist.

  • @mxgzn right...so you claim something is true because it says so in a book...wonderful argument....

  • @Aeythvaenn No. The question was who this Creator is. It was not about how sure I am of the source I'm quoting. That's a different discussion.

  • @Shveti Amen!

  • @fmason83 Thank you Händel!!!

  • A Utube video clip that moved me to tears? Amazing!

  • Could someone tell me the type of trumpet there at :35, Ive never seen one of those.

  • @dontfencemein1979 - I think it is Baroque style - no bulbs to control but all upon the musician's technique of lips etc. Thus much more difficult to play.

  • Believe it or not, they're called Handel Trumpets - used quite commonly for authentic performances of music of this period and style.

  • @dontfencemein1979 Looks like a small valve trombone for playing close quarters. That is my guess ,because I am looking at one as I type this.

  • Does anyone know details of this recording? It is absolutely splendid - I'd love to legitimately own my own copy!

  • great singing coupled with true passion and love for music. I am very excited. Choral music is supreme. Thanks.

  • I'm assuming and hoping that this whole recording and presentation of the Messiah is available on dvd somewhere. Can anyone tell me where I can get hold of this, title lable etc , ...

  • I've always loved the way Robert Shaw conducted it, but the mood is 'big' with his version. I love how warmer, richer, and more intimate this is. Thanks for uploading!

  • the best version I 've ever listened, including my 2 CD sets. richly blended and balanced. who are those singers? they possess such powerful voices. I 'd like to see their concert if it is possible in our area.
