In 99% yes. If I remember correctly "Heidi is a headcase" is tuned sharp (E=E#) and there are two or 3 others. However, live they played some songs a tone higher or lower but in standard tuning though.
Haha yeah, you are right of course but what I meant to say was that the whole guitar is tuned sharp. Standard tuning is 440 Hz but in this case the tuning was about 444 Hz. On my digital tuner it's the # symbol, hence my remark E=E#. Looks a bit funny indeed:)
Very interesting sound. You will become a serious 'analogue amplifier Mosrite guitar' sound producer very soon ;)))). Thank you for you diligences, friend!
i pretty much agree with colonelbuckshot here. i heard the guitars more clearly in this version, but it's hard to say that one version is better than the other, they're both good! and yes, this version is more "studio sounding" than your earlier one. in any case, they're both 5*
Thanks! Most Ramones songs are pretty straight forward and it should stay that way but it's good to know that you now have the option to spice up the sound if you do a more complex song or if you want to add a personal note. Important is not to overdo it though.
This is really interesting, the last one has a more up front live sort of sound and this one has more of a studio sound - You can hear both guitars more clearly in this one but both are just as good in their own right.
Stereo recording can be useful if you want to cover more complex songs or if you want to add a 'personal touch' to a song. Anyway, it's fun to experiment.
do the ramones usually just use standard tune

The pleasure is mine:) Nothing beats Old School recording methods if you want to replicate the seventies punk sound.
