Many people have been trying out physics, but they're forgetting that a isn't constant so any of those motion formulae aren't applicable. You'll have to take infinitismally small s, ds, and then express ds for very small time intervals, and then integrate it over time. As any vehicle accelerates, the acceleration actually goes down and it reaches 0 when the vehicle reaches it's maximum speed. If acceleration were constant, the vehicle would have a top speed of infinity.

for those who really still cant believe the math or the video.. it is possible.. v=u + a*t --(1), v(final speed) is taken as 120km/h=33.33m/s and t=18.5s and u(initial speed)=0 .. therefore a=1.8m/s^2 .. now for distance travelled s=u*t + 0.5*a*t^2 .. s= 0.5*1.8*18.5^2= 308m !!! simple math?? good riding for sure!!

Ok since the rider claims its 18.5 secs. Still the distance covered would be nearly 1.1 km which is slightly more than double the distance claimed! The video though doesn't appear to be fast forwarded one. No doubt the rider is top class!!!

I can explain using physics there's some flaw with this video. The rider has taken 20 seconds to reach 120. Take u, v, t, a, s as initial velocity, final velocity, time taken, acceleration and distance covered. As he starts from rest u = 0 and wkt t =20 secs. By using v = u + at calculated acceleration is 6 m/sec2. Using s = ut + 0.5 at2 the calculated distance is 1.2 kms. How much has the rider mentioned? 500!! Impossible!

@overtakerism RTR has insane acceleration, it takes on R15 and P220 head on, and you simply cannot go by average acceleration is real life, acceleration varies each and every moment, it too much at the start and decreases as we speed up. Nice video btw.

ppl by default rtr shows 160 in hi-speed, only after u reset it to 0 it'll start recording the hi-speed...

u ppl instad of doing experinents on ur own check the review... RTR 180 ABS is 177.7cc, max power 17.3 Bhp @ 8500 rpm, max torque 15.5 Nm @ 6500 rpm, top speed 125 km/hr... PULSAR 180 is 178.6cc, max power 17 Bhp @ 8500 rpm, max torque 14.2 Nm @ 6500 rpm, top speed 118km/hr... YAMAHA FZ is 153cc, max power 14 Bhp @ 7500 rpm, max torque 14 Nm @ 6000 rpm, top speed 132km/hr....

I had purchased TVS RTR ABS about month back from MATRIX Motors Bangalore. Within a month ABS is failed and it had major problem with gear system, i went to Matrix TVS service center for 6 times, My experience with this bike and service center was very bad, they never try to found fault on the bike rather these guys will always put blame customer every time. I was using FZ-S happily, i feel like I wasted my money without proper review. Guys plz be careful before buying RTR new module.

Well i think a decent modification will make bikes at any CC to pump little higher. I recently brought RTR 180 and its nice.. I ve my Pulsar 200 but RTR 180 never over took P200 in a stretch.. I took my RTR 180 till 124 and that was the peak speed at 11K RPM where as the same 11k gives 137 in my P200. However RTR gives as much as it can and P200 gives as much as it can due to spec differences.

p220 might be the fastest indian(coz its 220cc), but rtr 180 is the best indian motorcycle. decades ahead of bajaj in terms of technology. I wish they made a higher cc bike :).

@shriom1993 Nops, dude P220 is faster but only just till 100km/hr. Even after that P220 will pull away much faster and has much better top-end than the RTR.RTR is good in its own away and revs like no other(considering its engine displacement).

@aruekca18det Well the 180 is a much faster bike as compared to the 160 when it comes to acceleration.And yeah, there is a difference of 7-8km/hr difference in the top speed of the bikes. The 180 can hit 140-142km/hr. RPMS at speeds:4k rpm-54km/hr, 5k rpm-70km/hr 6krpm-82-83km/hr,7k rpm-97-99km/hr!!
