The reply initially looked convincing to me.
However the reply has deceptions like his other lectures as he said he cannot go against Prophet Muhammad SAW and all their actions are to get closed with Prophet Muhammad SAW here and hereafter.
Actually Yusuf Kazzab according to the book on Yusuf Kazzab he didn't claim he is a separate Prophet but he claimed:
"Prophet SAW was physically present in all times. Prophet SAW's first face was of Adam A.S. and current one is me"

as you said no authentic evidence from Islamic sources is available for ghazwa e hind.
it may be another way of hijacking the minds of youth .though many scholars do give some sources but it is mainly based on some weak riwayats .even these scholars don't create hysteria of war like zaid does as their motive is only to get some truth from history not marketing.
Read fitna e yusuf kazzab especially pages 19,25,31,42,44 .
how innocent minds who are willing to do something good were exploited.

one of those books is "Sunan Nisai" whose (i remember) second chapter is addressing topic of Jihad .... in that chapter you can find Ahadees regarding Ghazwa-e-Hind

Here is an interesting point.... I listened again and again, and tried to match up the word (SALLALLAHU ALAIHI WA AALIHI WASALLIM) spoken by Zaid Zaman in Yousuf Kazzabs audio recording as compared to answer given by Zaid Hamid in a programme... Guess what they match 99 percent.
I mean no two diff, persons with diff, background knowledge and no remote link are supposed to say one special word exactly alike. I don't hear this often... no 2 persons in 100 can match up the voice and style.
