No ford engines aren't stronger. They have twin cam and valve timing this and that. Impressive to get 412 on 5.0. But the m3 is a 4.0 with 414 hp. So it's all in the technology not size. Gm only has pushrods that's why they have "a little" bit of horse power. But I wanna see a stock gto and a stock 5.0 cuz I'm undesisive on who will win. So if you know a video let me know

@11cyrus11 iv test drove a new 5.0 gt/cs with 5 miles and beat it hard id have to say very nice car no doubt cheaply made interior and the 5.0 makes power at any rpm id have to say it would out run the goat by a little but a stock ls motor is just a platform for mustang slaying all day long. I was going to buy an 12 5.0 stang bought an 05 cyclone gray gto instead

@paladain55 so misinformed they were never built with a 6.2 that would be the 5th get camaro the gtos had ls1 and ls2 engines. you can go back and forth about what car has what and witch car is faster from the factory bla la bla.... the point most people who know shit about engines is cubic inches will always help with torque, ive owned both a mustang and own a gto ill take the gto over the 5.0. the LS engines are so much easier to mod and tune a simple cam swap will make 40- 70 rwhp with a tune

@crazysvt03 but you can do a cold air kit, tuner, boss 302 intake. thats 60rwhp with a reflash. then you can also do exhaust, and cams, and heads etc..... they have the same potential

The only mustang that is faster than any g.m is maybe a cobra,that is only due to being supercharged,soley due to the lack of cubic inches.When ford builds a N/A large cube engine agin that can compete with the ls series engines,I will be impressed.

Man, an 03-04 Cobra sound 50 times better with stock exhaust.

Poor old 16 valve, sound like all over head valve motors, no more power above 4 grand.

I don't know why GM is getting rid of GTO. But at least,the GTO was really the last gift they offered. This car is already gonna be a classic, and will be hard to find.

And it sounds like you have a lion coming from that exhaust. I love that sound!

They got rid of it back in 2006...production was only for 2004(LS1, 350HP), and 2005/2006(LS2, 400HP)

they got rid of the gto because it didnt sell all that well, maybe because it looks a little bit like the dodge stratus. But i almost bought one but decided not to because the one i looked at was purple :p it is a nice car, but i wouldnt go as far to call it a classic. Nice exhaust setup thought two thumbs up

How much louder than stock is the Bassani? I know the LTs opened it up a lot, but I have to keep my car quiet to keep attention off me around my school. It certainly is one of the nicer sounding GTO catbacks out there.

i like the bassy sound. thats wut a V-8 is supposed 2 b. a deep, bassy, kick & vibrate ur ass sound the rumbles stomachs. they souldnt be raspy sounding. just my opinion, of course.
